"Elevators could sometimes take forever. If you left something in your room, on a higher floor, plan about 20 minutes round trip to go get it. Cleaning lady was kind of rude on mandatory cleaning days. Often, it was hard to navigate getting around their piles of linen bags strewn about the walkway towards my room."

"We stayed in one of the traditional rooms, and it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, and the amenities were abundant. The location is great for Ueno park and the nearby Ueno station and shopping districts, and it’s walkable to the nearby University. The only other notes I’d mention is that the rooms do have a pitcher but to refill, you need to take a stop on the 2nd floor where the laundry room is. Speaking of, depending on how crowded the hotel is at the time, the dryer machines in the laundry room can often be full since it could take a lot longer in each dryer than a single wash. Over all, I would definitely recommend this place to others."
