Amazing location, right next to useful train and metro lines. Able to get anywhere in Tokyo easily. Great food available all around it and a family mart is downstairs. Importantly for summer visits, the aircon is good! *note* hotel is on the edge of the red light district. This wasn’t a problem even with our 13 year old son with us. The girls are respectful to families and we all definitely felt safe walking around at any time.

The location is great, very close to the train station, shops and restaurants. The hotel feel a little older, but well maintained. Our room had a lot of space, more than most we rented in this price range.

The location of this hotel was excellent! It was very close to restaurants, shops, and many different train stations. The room itself was very small, but they make good use of the space that is available. The AC was very nice after a long day out in the sun. The staff were very friendly.

The hallway and elevator looked old and creepy. The room was spacious, bed was soft, outdoor onsen was okay-the faucet looked like it was going to break off any minute. Privacy was questionable since there was a window on the building to the side which makes you visible. Decor was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a great experience staying at this hotel. The room was clean, and having a Family Mart in the same building was very convenient. We took the Keisei Skyliner from Narita Airport, so the location was also very good.

The staff here was wonderful. The rooms are tiny but scaled to local standards. The location is great and near stores, restaurants and metro making it easy to find something you need. The neighborhood is a little sketchy at night for young kids as there are a lot of adult entertainment and sex workers on the block.

Our room was nice. It was just very loud in the area and that kept us up at night. Lots of ambulances coming through and loud street noise all hours of the night. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Never seen a hotel split between two streets! Interesting layout but the conbini at the bottom was very convenient. We didn't love the area of Ueno it was in but our room was perfect, beds were very comfortable, probably the most comfortable we've experienced in Japan.

It was a good location, but the listing was deceptive saying that there were two beds only to find out the second bed was an additional charge. Building two also only has one elevator which can become congested at times. That aside, the place was well maintained and the staff was friendly.

The room was very clean and the staff were very polite and spoke English well. The hotel is split into two buildings across from each other. The train station is 5-10 minutes walk away and there are many restaurants in the area as well as many different shops.

Worn down and long overdue for a deep clean, maintenance and change of appliances. If you get it for a very low price however, one might be fine as the location for Ueno bustling life literally starts at the doorsteps.
