Incredible home away from home for myself and my partner. Staff was absolutely amazing and so kind. Food was delicious and there were other walkable dining options in a nearby town. Quiet and nestled among the mountains and olive groves but also very close to the beach and Lake Kourna. What a beautiful gem of a place!!

Séjour agréable

Hôtel très agréable et surtout d’une propreté exemplaire, que ce soit les parties communes comme les chambres. Le ménage est fait tous les jours. Petit déjeuner bien mais un toaster pour faire griller le pain serait un plus.

Unterkunft in ruhiger Umgebung

Gute Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge zwischen Iraklio, Rethymno und Chania. Kein Halli-Galli, eher was für das mittlere Alterssegment. Hoher Anteil deutscher Touristen. Der nette Touristenort Georgioupoli ist mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten zu erreichen; Strände auch zu Fuß (Luftlinie 1 km), für die schöneren (= leereren) Strände ist allerdings auch ein Auto hilfreich, einen Bus an der Hauptstraße (E75) gibt es aber auch.

Hotellissa oli erittäin hyvin hoidettu ympäristö ja allasalue. Siisti hotelli. Parisängyssä oli yhteinen peitto, josta syystä yöllä heräilin. Altaalle pitää olla omat pyyhkeet. Kylpyhuoneessa ei ollut saippuaa eikä huoneessa tiskausvälineitä. Vastaanotto oli erinomainen, talo tarjosi drinkin heti tullessa ja purkin omaa oliiviöljyä. Buffet illallinen oli hyvä. Erittäin hyvä hinta-laatusuhde, ehdottomasti positiivinen yllätys.

Nice hotel , great location

The hotel staff are friendly and efficient, the grounds and rooms are very well kept. You'll need a car as the hotel is 3 km from the main town, there are tavernas and a few shops within walking distance and lake kournas is a pleasant walk of about 3 km. Breakfast is continental and offers a small but reasonable choice. the pool area is nice with plenty of sunbeds. There is a bar patio area with good service. Wifi is available but only in the area around the main reception. overall a very pleasant stay and very good value.

Vardis Olive Garden - good base near Chania

Convenient for main road and trips round the island. Quiet, calm, thoughtfully designed, in middle of olive grove and gardens.Set back a little from the coast and so avoiding some of the straggly development you tend to get. Spacious studio with good size balcony. Comfortable firm bed. Very pleasant staff. Good breakfast and supper buffet. All other guests when we were there were Dutch or German: UK visitors are missing something here! The only thing I didn't like (personal taste and I know everywhere does it) was music in reception and restaurant, but it was not very intrusive. We're a middle aged couple and I think this hotel would best suit those who want peaceful holidays and those with young children. Would happily go again.
