A great find!

A lovely place to stay in if going on boat back to the UK next day. Right on 2 beaches - lovely coves and lots of sand, great Lobster restaurant. Try and get a room overlooking the sea or pool - we had lovely little balcony.

Great stopover for ferry and beach

We stopped here for a couple of nights before catching the ferry home on the Monday crossing. We had a family room with a sea view which was modern spacious and fantastically clean. Beds comfortable. The staff on the front desk where helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. Room was quiet even being above the bar and we had the patio open to here the waves at night. The beach is on the doorstep with soft sand. Whilst we were there it was as breezy but warm and there was enough space at the beach around the corner to use our power kites so not too crowded it you walk a bit. 45mins to the ferry by car. great end to the holiday.

Nice hotel in a beautful location

The hotel looked old from outside but our family room was decently refurbished, spacious and clean. We didn't have a seaview room but as the hotel is surrounded by beautiful beaches, we still had a bit of seaview over the swimming pool. Our balcony was very big as the room was in the corner. The downside was that there was no air con in the room so it got quite hot and stuffy during the heatwave, we had to sleep with balcony doors open. Other than that the hotel is in a fabulous location, the beaches are beautiful. The hotel is a bit pricy for what it is but I guess we paid for the view and location.

Gem of a place

We loved this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. Unfortunately the weather was poor so we didn’t do much exploring of the local area or beach. However it was ideal for travelling to Santander and Bilbao. Free parking. Had a really nice meal in the hotel restaurant where the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Amazing hotel with a great view!

Hotel Astuy was amazing and I would love to visit again. The view from our bedroom was probably the best I ever had. The service was also great, and despite our limited use of the Spanish language the staff always tried their best to help us out.

Excelente hotel en Isla

Tras su remodelación en el 2015, es la mejor opción relación calidad precio de la zona. Si pides habitación con vistas al mar prácticamente estás colgado sobre el. La habitación esta muy cien y la cama es muy cómoda. Desayuno copioso y bien atendido

Agréable

Agréable Petit hôtel de bord de mer. Du personnel parlant français. Facilite pour se garer. Bonne literie. Par contre la salle de bain était trop sombre (nécessiterait un autre départ éclairage) et quelques odeurs remontaient. Le petit déjeuner est très moyen

Beautiful situation, easy access, comfortable spacious room. Only down side, and I don't know if this applies to all rooms, bathroom decorated in black textured wall panels which made it very dark and difficult visually.

En typisk badeby med flotte strender. Et bra hotell med utsikt rett på havet og stranden fra rommet. Rent og pent rom, gode senger.Veldig hyggelig med balkongen utenfor rommet.God frokost. Maten i restauranten var også god,mye sjømat. Ellers er det en mangde kafeer/restauranter rundt i nabolaget. Det kan være en fordel å ha litt spansk kunnskaper her, for de aller fleste snakker nesten ikke engelsk. Mange interessante steder i nærheten hvis en vil på sightseeing. En er avhengig av bil for å komme hit.

Isla retreat,

We stayed for 3 nights after arriving by ferry in Santander . We found it easily from the directions provided on website. We were checked in very quickly and was allowed straight to our room before 2pm . The room was stunning with amazing sea view . We slept with curtains open as not over looked. Powerful shower and all modern decor. We ate 3 nights in hotel and staff were polite and friendly. Was unable to use the gym as it didn't open until 10am and breakfast was 9am . We had wonderful walks across the bay and had picnics on the beach. We relaxed on the loungers and had a swim in hotel pool which was lovely. Definitely recommend . We went on 8th to 11th of May so a lot in the town was closed but we didn't mind it being quiet .

Ideal para vacaciones de playa

El hotel está recién remodelado, muy lindo y la ubicación es perfecta para vacaciones de playa. Lo único que faltaría para ser 10 puntos es el aire acondicionado o ventilador. Todo lo demás perfecto!!!!
