Decent place to stay in for a couple of nights if you want to stay somewhere where you can see normal locals and not that many tourists. Hotel staff was said to know English but I had to open translator most of the time. Room itself was decent but you can see that this was 5 star hotel 5 years ago and has seen some wear.

The Dongho restaurant here is completely unfriendly. I went to dinner, but the order came out wrong and the staff showed an attitude of ignorance as if it was all my fault. Also, the dessert I ordered didn't come out even after an hour, so I told about desset while paying, and then the staff member told me to take it away. When I told him I didn't want to eat anymore, she said she couldn't cancel it because she had already charged on the bill. It's ridiculous and absurd... I didn't want to be stressed out about dessert 35k VND any more, so I just paid and left the dessert. The staff service at 4-star hotels is worse than that of street vendors. I spent a total of 2 weeks here while on a business trip to Vietnam, but I will never came back. Service is better at Indochina Hotel or Phoenix Hotel or Senna Hotel. The staffs here muong thanh are very RUDE.

Booked the only room available on short notice. 3 Single Beds. Ask tondo a Paid upgrade to an Executive Suite which was available but according to Staff it is not allowed tonpay for an upgrade when booked via Hotels.com. Very weird as i just was asking to spend more money. Room was ok but dated and NO Shower only a Bathtub. Very noisy from Street noise and Railway. Didnโ€™t get much sleep after 6 am.

Bedsheets were not changed. Don't auto refill the stuff in the fridge. No Bathmats. Once service taken, you will be charged. Even though that service is a normal part of any hotels process. Food restaurants doesn't have marks to differentiate between vegetarian/ Non vegetarian. Looks like they are just they're for pulling out the money out of customer's pocket.

Misleading photos

The exterior and lobby areas look great and hotel staff is accommodating but there were major issues. The hotel requires passports and the only reason we were allowed to skip this process was because a VN friend worked with management to agree to hold funds like any other hotel would do. The first room was dirty with hair everywhere and weird red/brown stains all over, the second room was full of mold and the third room was passable but smelled like smoke and probably mold. We figured this was probably the best option we would get. The food was disgusting and not clean. Shrimp still had veins. Would not stay again but am thankful the staff was willing to find a somewhat acceptable room for a quick stay.
