“Very nice guesthouse with the facilities mentioned. Very good breakfast and most of the ingredients are from that region. Only issue was with closure of Restaurant and swimming pool at 8 PM. We managed somehow with the dinner by quick cooking of own food in the kitchen. If you are not prepared, then you have to sleep hungry or travel to some other nearby big city to get some food. Secondly, you have to know atleast little bit of German. Otherwise, its not easy to communicate with the owners.”

“Professionally well-maintained hotel run by family. Very clean. If you intend to stay more than one night, they will clean up every day. There is no “do not disturb” sign. And you have to carry a physical key for the lock, and you must lock from inside using the same key. This can be improved. Otherwise it is very nice.”

“Staff is super friendly and flexible; it is a family owned and run business; they make you feel part of the family; town is super cute and one of the examples of "Fachwerk" houses I have seen in Germany. Also steeped in history. The castle was a seat of one of the most important rulers of Germany. Definitely worth a visit and overnight stay. Great dinner options in the old town center.”
