5stars? Hardly three star hotel
Baku is a fabulous city. But I would not recommend staying in this hotel. Very poor service. The cleaning was under all criticism.

موقع جيد لكن الفندق قديم ولا يوحي بأنه فندق 5 نجو
الموقع مقبول وهاديء وآمن .. وقمنا باستئجار غرفة مع صالة وفرن كهربائي يسمونها في هذا الفندق شقه رائحة الغرفة سيئة جداً يبدو أن السبب من الفرشة التي كانت قديمة نظافة الغرفة مقبولة الغرفةمن إيجابياتها إطلالتها على الكورنيش طبعا الفندق لايطل بشكل مباشر حيث يوجد بين الفنظق والكورنيش طريق عرضه يقارب المائة متر البوفيه المفتوح في الإفطار كان جيدا ومتنوعاً العاملين في الفندق خدومين ومهذبين جداً إجمالاً الفندق لا يعطي إنطباع إطلاقاً بأنه من فنادق الخمسة نجوم

Very Bad Experience!
Room not as described on website, no floorboards, dark, dingy, damaged equipment, exposed electrical wiring, stale smoke smell, noise from night club on top floor until 4:30am and building works from Sea View area starting 08:30am, so no sleep or rest at all. Staff and management rude, ignore complaints, and do not even try to resolve issues. Overall a dangerous room, noisy room, smelly room, damaged equipment, and rude employees and management. Definitely NOT FIVE STAR. If you want yo ruin your holiday, book here!!!!

Below is the answer to your feedback in a personal message. Dear Mr.Khan We are very sorry that you did not like our hotel. Please kindly note that all your feedback is considered incorrect. The rooms are checked before the arrival of guests and situations like hair in the sink, bad smell, dark room and etc are not possible. Our bar is on the reception floor and not as you wrote. Front Office staff provided you a suite with sea view. Once again we apologize for not being able to please you, despite your negative. Have a nice day.

Otel personeli çok ilgili ve yardımcı. İlk verdikleri oda kokuyor ve banyo kapısının kildi yok diye odamızı değiştirdiler. Ama yeni odamızında kilidi bozuktu. Banyo kapısının arkasına çöp kovasını koyarak kapıyı kapattık. Banyo giderleri aşırı kokuyor. Ve odayı da aynı şekilde kokutuyor. Temizlik günlük yapılıyor 2 günde bir çarşaflar değişti. Otel eskimiş iyi bir tadilat gerekiyor. Kahvaltı çok zayıf. Özellikle çocuklar için. Çay var ama geç gelirseniz soğuk. Konumu güzel merkeze yürüyerek ya da toplu taşıma ile kısa bir sürede ulaşılabiliyor. Güvenli bir otel .

В период с 09-12 марта 2018 года мною был забронирован двухместный номер Delux Double or Twin Room, Sea View в гостинице Crown Hotel Baku через ресурс Hotels.com общей стоимостью 231.03 евро. При бронировании мною были указаны специальные пожелания: 2 отдельные кровати, вид из окна на море, а также завтрак. Представители отеля подтвердили бронирование одноместного номера с видом на море с 2-мя односпальными кроватямиПо факту заезда, мне был предоставлен номер на 3-м этаже, из окон которого с трудом проглядывалось море, номер был старый, грязный, со сломанными светильниками, сломанным туалетным бочком, а также ужасного качества постельными принадлежностями (к примеру подушка была размером «с кулак», постельное белье с пятнами и следами черных волос). Все вышеперечисленное производило крайне неприятное впечатление. Кроме того, в номере отсутствовали халаты, которые должны присутствовать в номере согласно стандартов обслуживания и присвоения категории звезд, а также внутренним регламентам сети Crown (гостиница сетевая 5*).С трудом проведя ночь на ужасно неудобно кровати (матрас проваленный, старый), нас ждал еще один неприятный сюрприз, это завтрак, точнее завтраком то что нам было предложено назвать было крайне сложно (холодный кофе, и чай не первой свежести, старые сосиски, старый липкий сыр, джем с плесенью …. Конечно находится там, а тем более дегустировать предлагаемый завтрак не было никакого желания, тем более что подобный завтрак представлял опасность для здоровья.

Hotel near the sea
I do not recommend staying in this hotel because of old furniture and the paint is scaly and not clean and the breakfast is not good and there is no heater in the rooms. Thank you.

It was a disaster.
No Heating on cold nights. No way to manage hot/cold water satisfactorily. Bad smell from vents. Odds and ends of dishes. Dirty hot plate burners. No Microwave. TV local only no English speaking channels. Scratchy and smelly towels. Several bulbs/lamps are missing. Bathroom not satisfactory. Not suitable for habitation.

The hotel is poorly run.
Dark - missing lamps. No English TV. No way of having suitable water temperature very cold or boiling. Desk persons are not helpful. No heating in cold nights. sewage small coming from the heating air vents. Many other things that make a 5 star hotel ate not available. It deems that the management lost interest in this hotel.

the see view room looks out to the sea but it is partly blocked by the very large big building they are making next to the hotel. The room was clean but it does suffer with damp black mould the towels in the bathroom have seen better days very old. This was what I was expecting Baku is growing very quickly it needs to bring standards along with it.

カスピ海目の前に、オーシャンビューの快適なお部屋でした。ドーハで飛行機置いてかれたけど、めげずにドーハ見学。 フロントのお兄さんに日本のタバコ売ってくれとせがまれ、免税価格を正価で販売。 市内は公園が果てしなく続いていて、バラが咲き誇っていました。 オリンピック開催国でも有る為、整備され行き届いていました。 同じ飛行機の日本人の方が、ジョージアやアルメニアとアゼルバイジャン3ヶ国を巡るタイプ多く、コーカサス地方の地上絵も見れるとか。 次回行こうかと。本当に、中東系っ利用すると、航空運賃半額で行けるので、年間渡航回数増えます。ラッキー!!

In addition to all of the reasons I previously mentioned as contributing to a good experience, the staff outdid themselves accommodating last minute travel plans. They also tactfully addressed the noise issue I experienced.

Great Sea View and Staff
I had a nice room with a balcony and private sea view for a very good price. The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. Shahin and his colleagues went out of their way to make sure my stay was smooth and pleasant. This included changing my room and coordinating with the airport to retrieve lost luggage. I also enjoyed room service, spa services and the care the housekeepers took. The only downside was noise from construction next door, although this was only during normal work hours, and noise from some guests, which was not.

Nice hotel close to Crystal Hall.
I visited for the Chess Olympiad in September. The hotel had many players from South America (probably 150) in total. The hotel was comfortable and the price was very reasonable. The great thing was the few shops that were opposite where you could go and buy sweets, drinks etc. The food for the players was fair and freshly prepared - I had no upset stomach. Room was huge. 5 Manat by taxi to Crystal or 2 Manat with Uber or you could even walk if you wanted. The downside - huge windows facing the sea and the road. Great view but then the bright sun wakes you up. That was OK with me as I could not sleep past 7am. The noise is very dull and does not bother you once you shut the door/windows properly. If you want real luxury then better to go to another hotel and pay the extra. I was alone and happy with the hotel. Will stay at hotel if I visit Baku again.

50 character not enough to write all the bad thing
I'm reach hotel around 5pm, but the reception give out my booking room to others walk in customer and arrange me go to nearby standard twin room without any deduction of the 1st day charges. 2nd day, I went to reception and want to check in with the room that I booked that they promise to give back to me but the reception say he don't know anything about this. After argue awhile , he say he will check with their manager but his attitude bad. Then I left my luggage and go to work. After work, they give back the booking room to me but the condition not really good. I saw rubbish on the floor. The next day when I come back from work, rubbish still can found the floor and the room clean is really suck. Bed sheet not changing for 8day. Toilet no refill during room cleaning, need me go request from the reception and the reception smile with his colleague. This really make me feel like they purposely do so. Even the free bottle water per day also no refill. When I asking the price of extend per day, reception only answer me that their sale manager is the one who know the price and their sales manager only available between 10am to 4pm. My working hrs is from 8 am till 7pm, confirm that I can't ask.so I ask them let know the price after they ask from their sales manager but end up no answer from them. This is not only happen one time, even happen when the 2nd times I ask . I curious that the room rate per night is not fix and no display on the reception? Why the price is so secret?

a poorly maintained hotel with 5 stars?
The hotel is located in a run-down part of Baku. The hotel is rated 5 stars probably because the rating has not been revised since the soviet regime collapsed and new, modern hotels, have been built in Baku. The room facilities are very basic, poorly maintained and not particularly clean. For instance we had problem with flushing the toilet that eventually was repaired. If someone from an adjacent room take a shower the level of noise is extraordinary. Breakfast is very basic, as I had already experienced in other trips to Russia proper.

Could be better.
I was in a party of four. Two of my friends had to ask for a new room. Rooms were cold and could not be heated. Breakfast was not up to a five-star hotel. Things needed repair in the rooms of my friends.

Baku is up and coming destination for sports!
Not quite all the ammentities of US but they do their best. So much construction going on. I would like to see this area again in 5-10 years. They have enveyable national pride and are working to get the Olympics. Great experience!
