Spacious beautiful apartment with high quality amenities. Lots to do like biking, pool, tennis. Lake is stunning but paddle boats weren't operational due to low water levels. Highly recommend for a family stay.

Such a beautiful place, even at night with the lights is was magical. Room is what you pay for, nothing fancy but very pretty. And the price was great, I would be interested to know if they do weddings because I would definitely consider it.

So much more than your usual accommodation. Beautiful historic mansion, with so much character. Has a peaceful & magical feel to it. Staff are lovely, rooms are modern and very clean but still have all the old charm & character from the structure to the furniture. Grounds are stunning and there is so much to do! We have stayed three times now and plan to again. Every time we stay, we are sad to leave.

We stayed for 3 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment as a family of four and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment was well-appointed, comfortable, and well-suited for a longer visit. The resort amenities are a real highlight. There’s a heated indoor pool (though still a bit chilly in winter), tennis courts with racquets available for complimentary hire, bikes, and even canoes and paddle boats you can use on the dam — plenty to keep the whole family entertained without leaving the property. A couple of things to be mindful of: this was our second stay, and although we booked the same 2-bedroom option as last time, we were allocated a 2-bedroom apartment with only 1 bathroom (and 1 toilet), compared to a 2-bathroom setup previously. It’s definitely worth making a special request if having two bathrooms is important to you. We also experienced an issue with hot water — each evening around 8pm it would run out, despite not using much during the day. Earlier in the day it was fine, but this was a bit inconvenient for a family trying to get everyone sorted in the evening. Location-wise, it’s a great base for exploring Ballarat, with most attractions within a 10-minute drive. Overall, a relaxing and convenient stay — we’d happily return.

Unfortunately the weather was cold and wet, which took away the ambience and our ability to sit by the lake or use the tennis court. However the indoor spa and gym are ideal for the person wanting to relax or get some exercise, plus the indoor pool was close by. Recommend a visit but I expect that it is very busy in the warmer months given what it offers. 10/10

This property far exceeded our expectations. Historic property with plenty to do onsite. Paddle boats on the lake, electric bikes, playground, indoor heated pool, games, vege garden/ fruit trees to help yourself. The apartment we had slept 4 with good kitchen facilities and living space. Huge bedrooms! Little booklet with a short history of the property was a nice touch. The only thing id change would be an update to the mattress which was far to soft and for the soft furnishings to be laundered prior to each visit. I always remove decorative cushions and blankets anyway but these were very clearly dirty and dusty.

Amazing property, grounds and facilities

My family and I were so impressed with our stay, the property is absolutely stunning, our apartment was super comfortable and there were so many activities to keep us entertained. We've already booked to return in a couple of months. The staff were all extremely helpful.
