The photos showed a stately home with lovely private rooms for the guests. It stated that a delicious breakfast would be served daily. It also described a pub for the guests on site. “Our greeting was cold and offhand. We were asked too pay cash, and when I objected, there might have been an option for debit card.. in the end we found cash, we were shown the room and left alone. Next morning we found breakfast but didn’t see anyone , these people are definitely not in the hospitality business, more the take the money and run business!!”

“Barrow Lodge was a a great place to stay for our golfing vacation to visit Tralee and Ballybunion golf clubs. Spacious, clean and comfortable room with a nice big bed and goodies in the room like tea, water, coffee, sweets and fruit. Great views and right on the water. The host Clodagh is a wonderful person, a breath of fresh air; she is incredibly kind and generous and very helpful in providing tips on where to eat at night and making reservations.
