The property is located right on the beach front with great views over the sea. The villa is comfortable, basic amenities are included at the property. The villa was tired looking and in much need of renovation. The plunge pool is not private, it’s location at the front of the villa means everyone can see you. The restaurant had an extremely limited food and drinks menu. Staff were friendly. Overall I was disappointed with the property, hopeful as the area becomes busier post pandemic the property will change some aspects to more accomodate its clients.

Relaxing stay in Lovina Beach

Nice Villa with private pool just a 20 minute walk from the dolphin statue. The owners can help you arrange dolphin tours and massages on the beach.

L'hotel est coller à la mer avec une magnifique vu sur la mer. Le personnel est adorable. Les point necatifs: l'hotel ne dispose que d'un petit restaurant avec une carte tres petite. Les photos sont un peu trompeuse l'hotel est un peu viellissant et manque de finition. Et puis malgres qu'il soit entourer de construction il reste isoler, pas de magasin a proximiter ni de locatiin de scooteur ou de taxie. Sinon c'est un petit hotel a taille humaine ou il est agreavle de se reposer.

Væggelus

Hotellet er fint og ligger på stranden. Desværre er stranden fyldt med affald, og indbyder ikke til at man kan ligge der. Vi fik af vide at vi kunne gå til centrum langs stranden. Desværre er der en dyb kanal der deler stranden i to, som man ikke kan komme over medmindre man svømmer. Vi opdagede desværre væggelus i vores lejlighed, hvilket personalet ikke tog så alvorligt, og måtte bede om et nyt værelse, da det ikke var noget de tilbød. Senere fik vi af vide at de ofte har problemer med væggelus. Personalet er svære at kommunikere med, da deres engelske ordforråd er begrænser. Dog er de meget hjælpsomme. Maden er ok, dog skal man være forberedt på at dele den med alle de myre der er over det hele, og som kravler på stole og borde. Det er også med hundrede procent sikkerhed at man vågner tidligt, da hønsene bor bag lejlighederne og hanen starter med at gale kl. 6:00. Værelserne er fine, og hver lejlighed har sin egen lille pool. Dog kunne det være godt med en fælles pool, da fx vores lejlighed kun fik morgensol, og vi derved ikke kunne sole om eftermiddagen. Hotellet tilbyder en sejltur om morgenen, hvor man sejler ud og ser delfinerne. Det er super fint.

Good hotel, shame about the location

Room was lovely, plenty of space and a refreshing plunge pool outside. A little more privacy would be good, as the pool faced directly onto the restaurant / bar but there were so few guests it wasn't a huge issue. The location isn't great however, with only a dangerous main road or the cluttered beach walkable to town. And there wasn't much in Lovina to justify the walk. The hotel do offer a shuttle service however as we found out it's not always available, so check in advance before making plans to head out!

Pleasant stay & great friendly staff (Fery)

It was a pleasant stay. The staff Fery was really helpful and assisted us for all needs with a smiling facing. He booked us a dolphin seeing a boat with sunrise for 100k IDR. Location of the hotel is much suitable for north Bali tour which includes dolphin, sightseeing and all popular waterfalls. Breakfast is not bad but can be improved. This is the only hotel with a beach front, private plunge pool and a very nice big padded outdoor swing for kids and adults.

Klein paradijs aan het strand.

Dit kleine paradijs aan het strand was super mooi en erg prettig. Alles was schoon en vrij nieuw. Kleine puntjes van aandacht maar voor indonesie is dat normaal. (Douche vloer liep niet richting het putje) strand is vulkanisch dus ziet zwart. Nog steeds erg mooi en bijzonder strand. Ik had mijn eigen zwembad voor het huisje en ontbijt was inbegrepen erg uitgebreid. Personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kom hier voor een paar dagen rust nadat je in alle drukte bent geweest van bijvoorbeeld seminyak of kuta.

Nice hotel right next to the beach

The hotel area looks really nice as you arrive. We stayed in a double room with plunge pool. The room is good with water, fridge & bed - bathroom is really good. The pool to the front is good for dipping or sitting by but do note it’s not private. Breakfast is nice & had right by the beach. I will say that when you are around/near the beach even at the hotel there will be locals selling stuff. It can get very frustrating! Free shuttle bus is really useful. Staff didn’t know to much about getting around/sightseeing. Overall though a good stay. (We used a private driver to get around to waterfalls etc - highly recommend ‘Lovina bali driver’ on Facebook who was great & is useful to use in the area, tours or further travel)

Quiet beach hotel trying hard to make your day

2 - 2,5 star hotel on Lovina beach. Quiet and nice location, unfortunately nearby local neighbours don't keep the beach clean, so a first impression walking on the beach may be that it is dirty. Rooms are nice and clean, but are getting old. They make a good attempt to do the little extra such as having a special breakfast everyday, but unfortunately the standard of the food don't live up to expectations. I would still highly recommend the hotel, since it is great if you want a quiet hideout with access directly to the beach. Personnel is friendly, but there are some that could smile a bit more often. May feel a bit overpriced compared to other hotels in Bali, but then few other hotels has the direct beach access.

Nicht wirklich touristisch dort und man kann auch überhaupt nicht im Hotel essen. Die Bar hatte schon um 21:20 kein Personal und es kam auch niemand mehr. Das Morgenessen ist komplett vorgegeben, nur ein Restaurant in der Nähe ... für die anderen müsste man weiter mit dem Taxi fahren. Klimaanlage direkt über dem Bett, so dass man auch mit diversen Einstellungen trotzdem der Zugluft ausgesetzt ist, somit waren wir die letzten Tage des Urlaubs auch noch erkältet. Schade

Yay: - Minimalist design (note no TV) - by the beach (we checked in late and missed sunset though) - huge and neat bathroom - effective electronic mosquito repellent in room - huge serving of breakfast (note daily menu) - gecko visited at night ! - staff all smiles Nah: - no in-room safe (we left some money in the room when we left for dolphin tour and didn't want to lose all of our belongings. suspected we lost our USD100 here but only realised after we changed hotel) - old rusty door key lock that can be easily picked - we were pleased when there's a water dispenser in the room. When we left, we realised the water was dirty with floating impurities under direct sunlight and felt disgusted - local (chanting) music playing at night and early morning - Plunge pool has sand and leaves - dirty swing couch - old noisy bed - lack of privacy translucent curtains - dinner actually needed 1 hour to arrive from warung/small shop nearby. but staff told us 30 mins when we placed the order. Food was cold when delivered. - pestered by locals to buy sarong and bracelets whatnot the moment we hit the sand. Remember to decline assertively and walk away.

Not as expected!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Wifi is good. The mattress is in bad condition and definately need to change. Curtains are not fully covered - no privacy. Open concept toliet has not enough lights. Breakfast potion is small. The beach is not to expected with boats anchored around and no one swim in there. Ppl selling things at beach and keep pestering.

No need

This hotel would be fine if you are looking for a mild upgrade from a hostel or backpacking hotel. Other than that no need to waste your time. The beach was filthy and we were harassed by locals the moment we set foot on the the so called beach. We were on our honeymoon and looking for comfort and amenities then they could provide. Also Lovina area was a let down. We had booked for 5 nights but left after the first. Go further west or east. Save your time and money!

Wonderful little hotel

Second time we've stayed there and again enjoyed our stay. The main bed and pillows are insanely comfortable! Breakfast was very good. Bonfire on the beach with marshmallows was a lovely touch. For the price, really very good with lovely, helpful staff. Highly recommended. Ordered delivery food from Buda Bakery... be warned... very good food but very small portions...

Loved the Lilin at Lovina

From the first email on my specific query to celebrating my 10th anniversary, I got help from Lilin always. The best part of our stay were the friendly staff. Smile comes naturally to them. Everyone (sorry if I am missing a name or mis-spelling due to ignorance) - Triana, Komang, Devi, Agus... everyone was so eager to help. Room was awesome... right by the beach. We slept and woke up with the sound of waves. Washroom was so different than all other hotels. Open, with a natural fragrance. One this is worth mentioning is the water dispenser. Lilin has done a great service to us by offering as much water as possible, without additional charge, while other hotels charge for each small water bottle. The plunge pool was simply superb. Only thing that could have been better is a kitchen for the hotel which serves the guest. The food is ordered through external vendors. It is difficult to keep track of the customization that way. Last but not the least, it is not a cheap hotel. But the smiles, attention and simplicity makes it worth the money.

belles chambres et hotel bien situé

Accueil un peu froid lors de la réception... Nous avions chambre avec piscine privative ce qui est génial !! La chambre est spacieuse et bien équipée (bombonne d'eau avec eau chaude, froide), thé, café, et frigo. La salle de bain est grande. Le côté resto est bien placé avec vue sur la plage! Hôtel à recommander malgré l'acceuil !

Not As Pictured - Don't Pay Over $40 For the Lilin

We were quite unhappy with our stay at the Lilin and are taking the time to write the review so that others have more realistic expectations if booking in this area for the first time. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised to see that the person manning the check in desk did not acknowledge our arrival, offer to help us with our bags or initiate the check-in process. The vibe was unwelcoming from the start. From there, we were taken to our room, which did not have the level of privacy that we had anticipated from the photos on the hotels.com website and others pictures on the internet. Of note, all of the "villas" openly face a large courtyard, so there actually isn't much in the way of privacy, and the pools were not well kept, with sand & leaves in them. Within our room, we found hair on the floor and in the sink, and the bathroom shower was moldy. We figured we should get over it, and walked to the beach, where we were promptly inundated with people selling things the second (really!) our feet hit the sand. The hotel did not discourage this whatsoever. Okay, so we thought we were just hangry after driving in from Ubud; the Lilin, however, doesn't actually have a restaurant and isn't walkable to any food options; instead, you can order delivery which takes an hour. We used that hour to figure out, via the slow internet connection, where else we could stay, and wound up at The Lovina instead, which was awesome.

Leuk hotel met privé Zwembad aan het strand.

Mooi Villa complex. Oogt huiselijk en een beetje Engels achtig. We kregen een upgrade naar de familie Villa welke een eigen zwembad had die wat groter was dan alle andere badjes. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze hebben een hond en een kat rondlopen wat het extra huiselijk maakt. Heerlijk verbleven voor 5 dagen! Enige nadeel is de mieren (zitten niet in de kamer want ze houden het erg schoon) en de rottige verkopers die aan het strand hangen. Maar die negerend hadden we een super verblijf.
