The spa was a perfect antidote for throbbing feet and aching body after a day of walking. The staff was beyond kind and helpful. We had our best meals in the restaurants around the hotel. Public transportation is easily accessible and main attractions are walkable. Highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a glorious stay!

Outstanding accommodation

This is perhaps the best hotel we have ever stayed. Spacious clean quiet room with super comfy bed. A bookable and free spa, sauna, steam room in the basement. Excellent bar and discounted dining, huge and varied complimentary breakfast. Centrally located and walkable to all attractions or hoho bus. Friendly and informative staff with special mention of Mirela who helped us with a smile on many occasions.

Nice enough hotel but there was a cockroach in my bathroom, which is just not acceptable in a 4 star hotel in a major city like Barcelona. The staff were very casual when I reported it and even suggested I had left a window open (I hadn't and the bathroom is at the opposite end of the room from the windows). I also thought it was a bit cheeky to be told I wasn't charged for a mere 1 hour late checkout because of the cockroach. It really tainted the stay as I was constantly checking the room for more cockroaches. One disappointment with the suite itself is that the sitting room was tiny with only a chair for one. Not really worth it. The room was otherwise comfortable and on the plus side the hot tub and shower with bodyjets were awesome. Breakfast was really good as was the restaurant.

Pros and cons

Spent 2 nights, only one small grocery store and a couple of restaurants! Sink in our bathroom finally got fixed the night before we left, ants in room and they never did lock the door to our balcony which was accessible from the hallway. Girls at front desk unfriendly as well as not helpful! Lovely hotel though, fabulous breakfast and going to be a brilliant beachfront when completed.

Everything worked perfect, nice room with excellent cleaning. The only thing we lacked was a sink on the toilet to wash the hands. for us it feelt weird to go to another room where the bath and shower was to wash the hands. That said we still would book this hotel again and again.

Good all-rounder

Room was clean, spacious and well-appointed, but a bit run-down. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was good and affordable. Was great to have a little pool to cool down in. Location convenient.

Great people, nice enough hotel, but one of the two rooms didn’t have hot water, and the other one had a mattress thin enough that the coils were protruding out. If this had been a more expensive hotel, I would have dropped the rating to a 3, but this was still a really good value
