Room was not perfect but reasonable based on the price. There was too much noise from the street despite the windows was closed all time and curtains too. Also neighbor rooms didn't respect too be quite after 11 even 12 am. Location was good with lots of high rate restaurants and bars.

The hotel is in a convenient location, and the staff were very helpful. The sheets and overall room cleanliness were excellent. However, the bathroom could use renovation—there were visible cracks and some dirt on the walls and bathroom door. Overall, it's a good place to stay for the price.

The location of the hotel was convenient and wonderful. We could visit some venues regarding Gaudi easily. The room was confortable and clean. The staff was so kind that he made an extra arrangement for our luggages after his business hour. The classic elevator was super cool! My husband was very fond of it :)

Great location

This was a fantastic location. We loved the balcony. Cold and hot water available for drinking and for tea and coffee in a common area along with a refrigerator. This was a nice touch. Great room. We would definitely stay here again

Manuel and his staff made our visit remarkably easy and comfortable. The facility is pristine, the area is safe a 10 minute walk to all of the busiest sites, while nestled away in a more seemingly residential area. This was my second time at the Hostal, the first with friends and this stay was for our honeymoon. I highly recommend.

The service was outstanding! The service and the location make this hotel a great value. The property is older and doesn’t offer much other than the room (there was a small area where you can make your own nespresso, fill your water bottle, and use the microwave or a small fridge). Manual was the nicest and most charming host who went out of his way daily to help us. Often people really make the stay, and this was true at Martinval.

The staff was really helpful. The room was cheap. The 24 hour desk was 2 blocks away on different street. The bed was mattress on frame, no box springs. Furniture was simple wooden plywood or thin wood. The cancelable up to was a fraud. 24 hours after booked got a notice that credit card charged 1/3 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Then got notice that balance had to be paid in cash, no credit card. Would I stay again? No. Only staff made up for other short comings, poor quality.
