Due to recent reviews we almost booked else where and I’m very glad we didn’t. The room was great and spacious with a private bathroom and small patio. There was even a fan put in the room for us which helped at night. The location was great

You'll get what you paid for. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, location is very convenient, on a side street near Rambler. No air con, can be quite hot in summer. Rooms are on 3rd floor, no elevator. Not an ideal location for seniors or family with small kids. At night, the area is a bit noisy and you might not feel 100% safe strolling around.

It is situated in a continent place, easy access to everything, the metro station is just around the end of the alley,and the staff are friendly, showed me the way to get around to the bus stop.

Hostal River has a great location in the city, very friendly staff and it was a great time off in Barcelona. The room was very basic but you had all the necessities there. The room was cleaned every day and we had no problems.

Rude and not accommodating

The accommodations we not what we expected and had to find a new place to stay. The advertisement online to book did not state “all steps” “no elevator” no air conditioning” I would like a REFUND and asked the owner he refused and now I will have my cc company handle this.

If you are a woman this is hostel is a NO. There are safety issues with the bathrooms you can be seen from several places while taking a shower and peeing. They have a broken window they refuse to fix. I had to upload a video of the whole thing. The attedant is nice and tried to fix the window but the blonde supervisor actually dismissed my concern stating no one lives in the other floors when i actually saw them and there's laundry in their balconies. Also getting up there with bags is hard they don't have anyone to help you. The doors don't lock properly very weird locks they have. I had to shower in upstairs in a very small shower i almost fell. Everything seems very clean but run down. Not sure why they don't make these repairs. It would save you these bad reviews. I left at dawn i didn't feel safe at all.

ホテルの場所は観光に便利だったが、入口が判りづらく、4階に狭い受け付けがあった。部屋が4、5階なのにエレベーターがなくて大変だった 上がる時はスタッフがスーツケースを運んでくれたが、チェックアウトの時は、運んでくれず、近くにいた泊まり客が手伝ってくれて下ろせた。 その割にはホテル代が高いと思う

Desafortunadamente la rambla está en reparación y el ambiente por sus alrededores no era muy seguro, sin embargo el personal del hostal muy amable , mi única molestia es que no hay escaleras y son como 4 pisos tampoco se puede ir en los meses de verano pq no hay aire acondicionado .

Hébergement très bien situé. C'est simple d'aller marcher sur la Rambla et prendre le métro. C'est un hôtel très propre et le personnel est très agréable. Il ne faut pas s'attendre a du luxe. C'est un hôtel où dormir à bas prix.

Cet établissement est très bien placé. On a eu un excellent accueil à notre arrivée et au départ. C'est très calme et l'avantage c'est qu'on peut laisser nos bagages si la chambre n'est pas prête. Les cloisons ne sont pas épaisses mais bon... Je recommande sans hésitation.

We did not stay. The hostal's front desk is on a 2nd floor, no elevator but the escalator was acceptable. To go to the room we were assigned to, there was a narrow and uncomfortable escalator. There was no A/C in the room and no bathroom either. On top of all these inconveniences the area was bad an extremely unsafe. WE DID NOT STAYED AND ENDED LOOSING THE MONEY

Supervarmt i rummet!! Fanns bara fläkt ingen AC. Sen fanns det bara två uttag i rummet så om man ville ha fläkten igång hade man bara ett uttag för att ladda mobilen etc. Rummet var helt ok rent men det gick inte att sova pga värmen och ljudet av byggnation utanför hotellet
