The room was spacious, clean and the dining area was above and beyond with the breakfast assortment and 24 hour coffee and tea. The reception was very nice and accommodating with allowing us to check in early and storing our bags. Great location for walking to restaurants and cultural life.

This hotel is great for solo travel, as well as others, as long as you are not a light sleeper. The walls are thin and you will hear other guests. However, if you can make it beyond that, the terrace and spacious indoor areas are absolutely gorgeous, large, and comfortable. The staff is extremely good and the bathrooms are immaculate and updated. The location is perfect for exploring, shopping, and dining. A large breakfast buffet is available with wonderful selections.

Fabulous location, near restaurants and shops, hotel has no restaurant, but does have a breakfast room that you can buy a continental breakfast, very good. My room was in perfect condition, and well appointed., staff was awesome. Hotel has some wonderful architectural details.

A Beautiful Hotel

The hotel and its staff were amazing! I recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona. It is centrally located and easy as a starting point for your travles.

Good location and a very well maintained hotel. What needs to change is the vibe. The staff needs to be more welcoming, cheerful, and Hotel needs to add some color to maybe everything. The whole vibe of the hotel is very dull and maybe somewhat sad. We had a few hiccups at checkin, we gave some feedback through Expedia and all of those were taken care of, so great service there. Breakfast was good variety, some items were good, some just ok, like the scrambled eggs were too dry. 24 hr coffee was a great offering . I would likely not be back here.

Breakfast was the best, everything was good. Plenty of dining options nearby, grocery, shopping. Convenient location. However, restroom had leakage everytime you shower. Also, it would be nice, if staff can be more accommodating and patient, though They are very busy. Overall highly recommended.

Our room was very clean but had a slightly foul smell that seemed to be coming up from the bathroom plumbing. The front desk and housekeeping staff, as was the breakfast room person were all excellent, except on one morning when the breakfast room wasn’t attended to very well. I had the most incredible stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, the staff is welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast is divine. I was debating whether or not to get the breakfast and I am so glad that I did. The receptionists spoke perfect English, which was a big help. There was an incredible atmosphere, it was very clean, and the lobby was gorgeous. If I go back to Barcelona, I will absolutely stay here again.

Understated Elegance…Grand Via Hotel

Grand Via Hotel is a beautifully restored building…it is located near all of the downtown venues and upscale shopping. Minutes away from Plaça Catalunya where all tour buses and taxis are located…and the beginning of Los Rhombla Street. We would stay there again.
