The location is excellent, easily accessible to necessary needs any major stores. The staffs were kind and services immediately. The only problem is the sign of the hotel is easily missed, probably because the major city construction right in front of the hotel.

The property was nice... and super convenient to all the transportation available at Plaça de Catalunya. The Aerobus from the airport was reasonable, and then maybe a 5 to 10 minute walk from the drop-off. My single room was a tiny triangle-shaped room with a twin bed AND a small balcony. It was perfect for 1 person. The lift/elevator from ground floor up to registration desk was out of order when I arrived, so I had to tote my luggage up the stairs, but I'd packed light so it wasn't much of an inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was included in my Expedia rate, and was a great start to my days. The room temp was set at 25C, so a tiny bit stuffy, but I slept just fine. The building was built in 1841, and was converted to a hotel 100 years ago this past April, per Jack the great front desk agent. ALL staff were friendly and accommodating.

Positives: The hotel is centrally located, and close to metro stations. If traveling from the airport, it’s easy to catch the bus to city center and a short walk to the hotel. Con’s: Hotel signage is hard to see at night. It does not light up and made it difficult to find at night. The elevator at the entrance did not work. Hot water was broken the first two days I stayed there. Mentioned it to staff both days and they could only reply that maintenance was working on it. Double bed wasn’t sturdy and squeaked when you sat in the bed. Shower is on a platform, with only a shower curtain surrounding the outside of the shower. That allowed water to get on a slippery tile. Had to use towels on floor to keep from slipping and falling.
