La habitación amplia pero la cama muy pequeña aun sabiendo con anticipación que eramos 2 adultos y 1 niña. Cuando hice la reservacion dijeron que se ofrecía desayuno para 3 pero estando en el hotel nos dijeron que solo nos daban 2, que el de la niña era adicional y finalmente el cobro por lavandería es exagerado y no dijeron con anticipación cuento costaba, aparte para ellos una camiseta normal es una blusa la cual cuesta el doble de una camiseta, en general muy decepcionado, no fue agradable nuestra estadía allí...

Very good hotel close to many things

Room was spacious and well kept. Bed was very comfortable. Pool was nice and relaxing. Breakfasts were fine just like in many north american hotel chains. Best of all was the true desire of the staff to help you: reception, restaurant area, maintenance, etc. Don't be late for breakfast (8-10am), you may be charged.

Muy mala información por parte de la página y del hotel ya que me dicen un costo a facturar por parte del hotel y cuando llego resulta que me toca pagar 70mil pesos de más, supuestamente por qué el valor que ustedes en la página no incluía ni seguros hoteleros ni gastos, me parece el colmo que esto no este bien especificado cuando voy a adquirir el servicio.

Great location and staff

Overall service was great and the staff was very attentive and nice. The location was great because there were lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious but it was a little outdated even though we paid for executive suite and it was suppose to be a little more updated. But everything worked and was very clean. However, the wifi was spotty and since I had to do some work, it forced me and my friends to have to go to a local coffee shop.

En esta ocasión me asignaron una habitación grande pero sucia, los elementos de mala calidad, descuidada. Podría ser un buen Hotel y no pasa de ser un lugar para pasar la noche y no muy cómodamente (calidad de la cama y ropa de cama).

Decent hotel for a good price.

This hotel isn't fancy. The surfaces are a bit dated. However, it's adequate, clean, and staffed by friendly people. The pool is well kept and breakfast is pretty good as well. It is also walking distance to basic shopping. Rooms have refrigerators in them, and not just mini-fridges. These are medium sized refrigerators which will accommodate a modest grocery run. We stayed in the 2BR suite and found it to be quite decent, once the temperature was brought down by the AC. The bathroom was the only place I found what I'd call an issue. In the shower, there's a window that is not completely sealed, which lets hot air in. By closing the bathroom door, we mitigated that easily enough though. We very much enjoyed the swimming pool, which was well maintained and clean. It was perfect with a separate area for young children and one for more competent swimmers. There's no life guard, but we figure children are a parent's responsibility anyway. The staff was very helpful, although some Spanish is necessary as they did not appear to speak English. Anyway, pretty much any request we made they accommodated with a smile. We had a very early run to the airport on our day of departure, and the gentleman behind the desk quickly called a taxi and came to help us move our bags to the curb.

Nice No-frills Hotel

Great location and a vibrant area in Baranquilla with taxis at your disposal . Staff was very friendly and courteous and communication was great. Basicaly, a no-frills hotels a little out-dated but clean and noise-free at night. Would have preferred a larger bed; sitting area can be jazzed-up a little. Overall was pleased with the room and would definitely stay again. Cheers!

Cuando llegué llevaban 2 dias sin wifii ni tv pero no informaron al momento del pago, llego un dia despues de la estadia. Me parecio un gesto muy irrespetuoso. La atención del personal es muy regular, si bien son amables, se nota que algunos no tienen experiencia en el manejo de clientes.

good stay. friendly staff. the breakfast really needs to be improved as they only offer a variation of the same dish every day, eggs, hotdog, juice & bread. It would be nice to have more options. Also, they forgot to clean my room one day but not a big deal. The beds are firm and low to the ground which is ok for me but I know some may not like that. Still, the amenities, value and location of this hotel were great. I would stay here again.

Checked in to a hotel that had a kitchenette. Unfortunately for me, there were no utensils, dishes or pots and pans. Ended up having to buy most of the equipment so that I didn't have to go out for every meal. They did supply 2 plates, 2 forks, 2 knives and 2 glasses. Nice pool and they served breakfast which was included in the price. Hope you like eggs.

A strange experience

After I checked in, the hotel staff seemed unconcerned with assisting me with anything else. That was disappointing. The room was nice enough though it felt straight out of the 70s. It was clean, however, and once I closed the windows and turned on the A/C, it cooled down to a reasonable temperature.

Pleasant Stay in Barranquilla

The Vallclaire Suites hotel is an older hotel but at the right price it is still a nice place to stay. The pool was popular with adults and kids and when we stayed there in July 2015 we got a small breakfast of eggs and juice included. The hotel is across the street from the more famous El Prado hotel. The neighborhood is fine, very quiet on the weekends.
