"Our stay was lovely at hotel Victoria, the reception staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming. Sometimes being a person of colour in Europe can be daunting but the hotel and Basel in general felt safe.
Only slight feedback I would have is for cleaning, some used plates , mugs etc were not removed or cleaned and rubbish was not taken from the room ( we have accumulated it in a bag and placed it next to the dustbin as all of it would not fit in the bin). Bed and bathroom was cleaned so that was no problem. "
"The room was so lovely and cosy and the bed was the ultimate in comfort. Everyone we spoke to on the staff were so helpful and friendly. The lobby felt so festive too. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay "
"Breakfast was excellent but you asked “ did I enjoy the free breakfast “ well if it was supposed to be free it wasn’t , I was charged for on checking out."
"If you want a fancy hotel that will charge you a fortune, this is not the place for you. But if you want a hotel that's very well located (5 minutes by bus from the airport), lovely staff, always friendly and happy to help, great food, with easy free public transport to the centre of town, this is your place.
We couldn't be happier with our choice of a hotel and I highly recommend it."
