“Getting to the property was tough, very tough but so worth it. I was lucky enough to go outside of the wet season but it was still hard. The facility itself is beautiful and the food is delicious. The staff is beyond kind and helpful. The shower though, it hardly worked and water went everywhere. Booking online on their direct site was giving us a challenge until we booked through Expedia and from here we had no issues. There is not fitness room so that was sad and no iron. There is an onsite staff through most of the day that provide the security and the convenience during our stay. “My wife and I stayed at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for four nights in December 2025. We loved every minute of it. The room was spacious and comfortable, the food was good (buffet style, full board) and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We are birders and saw many good species in the immediate vicinity of the lodge. Full-day or half-day 'game drives' are also an option.”

“The property is in a serene area. We stayed at the Flamingo suite that is an amazing tent. With living room, huge balcony overlooking the flamingoes on the lake. The staff is exceptional. The food delicious and well served. A very relaxing experience indeed. ”

Het eten was echt fantastisch. Zeer vriendelijke kok die van voetbal houd. Goed hotel om van je telefoonverslaving af te komen. Nadelen: Er is niks in de direct omgeving om te lopen. ”

Our room was great and had everything we needed. We were also able to park in the reserved hotel parking out the front and the security helped us with our bags too. “We enjoyed our stay at Sleepway Cottages, but we were without internet, that was advertised to be working, for 4 days which was a very scary time for our family back in the states who could not get in touch with us. Our stay would have been better if we had dependable internet and toilet seats on the commode. Also, we made the reservations for 5 people and when we arrived the rooms were not side by side but there was a room in between ours and our children which was a little scary.”
