"Roberta goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable and welcome. The room was beautiful and quiet. Her breakfast included dozens of options for food and she even took orders from a menu, which she then immediately cooks, such as different kinds of crepes. They were wonderful. "To be fair, I only stayed at The Palace Catania for one night, but the experience was a bit disappointing for the price. At $300 per night, the hotel feels quite dated and the rooms are badly in need of a renovation. On the positive side, the location is excellent, the rooftop views are lovely, and the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We did experience a major service lag at the rooftop bar, waiting over 20 minutes for a glass of prosecco, though the waiter was very apologetic and kindly comped our friends' two glasses of wine. Overall, it’s a well-located hotel with great customer service, but it definitely needs some TLC to justify the premium cost."
