Great location. 7 minutes from the airport by car. Friendly staff. Basic but good breakfast and awesome coffee machine.

The hotel is showing it's age.... especially the common areas need a fresh-up urgently. The room was ok, pretty plain with low ceilings. The breakfast was good.

Très bien.
Le séjours de deux nuits avec ma femme pour chercher une voiture acheté chez Galerie Auto à Nürensdorf, et puis rentrer à Lausanne. Ces deux jours on a profité pour visiter Zürich.

Overall ok, but do not book if you need the Internet. We needed wifi and without any public areas with wifi, claiming rooms have it when clearly those in the extreme corners do not is BS. Standing in the hallway to get travel plans to load is unacceptable. We wasted at east 20 mins clouding and reloading next steps on our trip. Also they will knock for you right at checkout time, which would be fine for us except we wasted so much time trying to load and pay for our next days plans. Room was Clean at first glance but cleaners need to clean behind and between doors. The shower was gross as soon as you closed the doors to use it. Fine otherwise, though hallways tired. Breakfast was delicious and all staff friendly.

Katastrof!!!
Otroligt varmt på rummet och ingen AC. Väldigt mycket trafik utanför. Dåligt skyltat till reception, parkering och ingen vidare hjälpsam receptionist. Frukosten va under all kritik!! Gamla bruna bananer och äpplen, brödet va som att skära i sten och gick inte och bita i och flugor som flög runt överallt och simmade i mjölken. Inga direkta pålägg och prata om. Jag kommer aldrig tillbaka dit!!

Das Hotel liegt sehr verkehrsgünstig. Direkt an einem Kreisverkehr. Die Zimmer zur Strasse und zum Biergarten raus sind recht laut aber die Fenster sind gut isoliert. Die Einrichtung hat schonmal bessere Zeiten gesehen aber die Zimmer waren sauber. Haartockner gibt es nur an der Rezeption, die leider nicht immer besetzt ist.

En voyant le bâtiment depuis l’extérieur on peut penser que c’est vieux, mais les chambres sont propres et refaites; le buffet déjeuner n’est pas énorme mais suffisant, il y a ce qu’il faut; un restaurant de bonne qualité avec quelques très bonnes spécialités poulet; hôtel tranquille et bien placé

a 15 minuti dal centro di zurigo, nessun problema se si viaggia in auto (ampio parcheggio gratis). Camera confortevole e tranquilla, colazione ottima, WIFI buono, il tutto a un prezzo decisamente basso per Zurigo.

Smoking Hotel, if you like to smoke, stay here. No AC, real hot in September and hard to sleep. The smoke rises in the room windows since you have to keep them open because of NO AC.

Nous recommandons !
Excellent acceuil en arrivant avant l'heure du check in. Belle chambre donnant sur la route, très bien insonorisée...aucun bruit fenêtre fermée. Bonne literie. Salle de bain spacieuse, grande douche...bémol résidus de calcaire... Dommage, pas de coffre-fort en chambre . Petit déjeuner copieux, diversifié. Jus d'orange pressé à mesure. Et machine à café avec choix multiples. Dans le même établissement un restaurant, non testé et un bar agréable ainsi qu'un bar fumeur au 1er étage (aucune odeur qui en sort!) Nous reviendrons !

No way if you are not a smoker
It was not my first time here but I believe the last. As soon as you get in, heavy smell of cigarettes surrounds you. Reception is at first floor, just aside the smoking bar. Carpet in corridor at rooms' level is very worn out and you get a sensation of "old" and dirty. A true pity, given restaurant is ok and also with some outdoor tables, breakfast and free wifi and parking ok.

Nice quiet hotel
We wanted to stay on the outskirts of Zürich and found this hotel. The town was quiet and parking our car was easy. It appears to be a local hot spot, as it includes a restaurant and night club. It was a little difficult figuring out how to find the hotel reception entrance. The room was surprisingly quiet, even with the nightclub. The owner, Michael, was very accommodating and we had the best apple strudel in his restaurant. Very nice!

Everything you need in one place. We spent only half a day and overnight at this great find, waiting for our flight out the next morning. This is an awesome hotel/restaurant. It has clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, outstanding food, a large patio where locals and visitors gather for drinks and eats. There is also a quaint cigar lounge with leather chairs and its own bar. The place has been renovated recently and looks great. Again, the food was amazing and fresh as can be. The croissants at the breakfast were the best I'd ever had. Most of all, the owner is a great host, very knowledgeable and very generous. I would definitely stay there again, and most likely for a few days more.

Not a good place for summer stay
Rooms are refurbished and beds are comfortable with clean big room but no AC in the room and gets too hot in summer. If you open window then one side of hotels is busy road while other side have church which rings the bell very loudly every 30 min. You can't sleep due to bells if you open the window. You could possibly hear TV sounds from next room at least in my case. Very basic breakfast buffet just bread. jams and boiled egg plus cheese and coffee. Had croissant for one day and when asked next day. They said we don't have more. Few min later a person walked in for breakfast and he was provided the croissant. Its was big let down. Won't recommend.

Dear Sir, first of all we would like to apologize for the "Croissant-Story". The the only reason I can imagine for this behavoir is "missunderstanding". I am really sorry. Our breakfast buffet tnormaly includes also a variety of cold meats, cerials, jogurts, homemade "bircher müesli", fruit-jucies, coffees and teas. May I ask at what time you come down for breakfast? The Hotel Löwen is located in the center of the village/town. Unfortunately traffic and curch bells are something we can not avoid. Sorry. Kind regards, Christopher

Old place with air conditioner out of order. Opened the windows of this super hot room and enjoyed the church bells every 15 minutes, horrible night, horrible stay!!!
