I didn’t realise that the property was so remote. I wanted a property close to Litchfield National Park. In hindsight we should have stayed in Darwin as we had to backtrack and then drive to Darwin the next morning an extra 80-100km.

Comfort in wilderness

The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. Lots of natural rustic beauty and space.

Ok stay

Nice place for a night but lots of bugs. Having the wallabies running around was great. The cheeky bull bar had decent pizza and cold beer.

Very nice stay, we would repeat with no doubt.

It was a great experience staying at Mt. Bundy. The surroundings are stunning, easy access from Adelaide River, very close to attractions. Owners and neighbors are very friendly, nice time spent at the fire place and onsite bar. Stayed at the "glamping" bungalow which took us a bit to get used to (since we booked a tent we were a bit confused), but after all was a nice experience. The outdoors toilet is fun but may get a bit inconvenient at night due to lack of illumination. Some things to consider, the bungalow is not "bugs proof", there is some mosquito net but still plenty of holes around the doors and the hole front roof is unprotected. Consider if you prefer a unit. Overall was great and we would stay there again with no doubt!. Sunset, sleeping under the moonlight and waking up with the sunrise was fantastic.

Would have liked to rate it 3.5 but this rating not available. Lovely friendly staff, cold refreshing Beer. Only 3 km to Adelaide River n town tavern n bistro that served great grilled barramundi. At the station we sat around chatting to the other patrons during the sundowner with guitar music n song. Unfortunately we only caught the last 10 minutes till 9.15pm. Mt Bundy station is about 100 km from Lichfield National Park, so very convenient. Boat trip on Adelside River also available to those interested. However it is infested with crocs.

A very different experience!

Stayed at Mt Bundy Station at Adelaide River. Loved the bar in the shed out the back and the fantastic singer they had that night for the entertainment of guests and locals. Part I liked visiting the WW2 Commonwealth Cemetery and learning more about the bombing of Darwin.

Social gatherings at Mt Bundy Stn

Met by very friendly owners, given tour of accommodation plus blurb on arrival. Delightful bar area with resident musician. Pizzas were yummy. Met some interesting travellers all with stories and information to impart. Met the buffalo bull with attitude !!! Loved having Mimi the pony joining us while socializing with other guests. Great visit, loved the entire package !!!

Unique experience!

A remote farm by the crocodile infested Adelaide River. I stayed in the Stockman's Quarters, which more than adequate and fairly comfortable, although the site is set up for campers and caravans. Friendly staff and beautiful rural surroundings. The best part of the farm is the pub, which is extremely good fun in the evenings and is hosted by Mimi - a small black pony, fond of crisps and conversation. For those wanting a different type of stay, go to the Bundy Station and enjoy the experience.

Wonderful and friendly

My stay here was friendly, welcoming, and relaxing. I was surprised to find such a place out in the "middle of nowhere"! The homemade pizza and the evening entertainment were both special treats.

Una notte in farm! Bellissimo!

Una vera chicca in mezzo al nulla, un ranch australiano in piena regola, come vivere la natura in tutta la sua bellezza e lo stile di vita della farm, ma come semplici ospiti. Lo staff è molto cortese, accogliente e simpatico, c'è musica dal vivo (penso che a cantare sia il padre della titolare), possibilità di cenare con pizza fatta al momento (in altre sere penso sia stato disponibile anche il menu BBQ). Per scusarsi della troppa attesa per la pizza ci hanno offerto altre due lattine di birra. Cena e birrozzo sotto una stellata magnifica. Portatevi l'antizanzare però! La sistemazione era accettabile, stanza pulita, begni in comue pulistissimi (ma quella notte c'eravamo solo noi), nessun insetto perchè le zanzariere sono state messe ovunque. La sera quando ci si corica si sentono gli animali (wallabie, rane e chissà cos'altro) che scorrazzano in giro per i campi, alla mattina gli animali della farm e della natura circostante suonano la sveglia, stupendo!!

Well-priced and friendly service. We stayed in the Stockmen's quarter. Basic ammenities but it was clean and fresh. It was a nice change from serviced apartments. And patting Nigel the bull was an added bonus!

Fantastic place to stay near Litchfield NP

We booked a single family room in the Billabong House (old station manager's residence) and ended up being the only family in the entire house. We had a wonderful stay, the staff were incredibly friendly, the bar was open and the pizza's were great. There were peacocks and a pony walking around the site between caravans and buildings. Only wish I knew about this place earlier, I would have booked a longer stay. There was a real community feel to the place.
