โIt was my second time staying in Maureen and i had a wonderful time even now. The staff was exceptional and the cleanliness and room space worth every penny.โ
โStaff really helpful, room was what was to be expected in accordance with the website, clean, food was really good too, overall very nice, only thing I could complain about would be that my flight landed at 07:35 and I was at the hotel at 08:00 I was able to enter the hotel and sit in reception but couldnโt check in until 09:30โ
โThe stay was good, although some aspects of the property are expectedly old (probably by design).
Otherwise, it was a good stay and the staff were very helpful. โ
โWe reached the place close to midnight, though its a bit far from airport- you see the place, you will love it! Its just as good you can dream a place for a nice, comfy and soothing environment for your self or family! โ
โThis a great place to stay that is in the Victorian era mode. I hope the basic decorum and vibe of the place never changes. It is a throw back to another era and all of the pictures from earlier times in Kolkata and the hotel and news clips are very interesting. Yes there maybe some pealing paint (which to me is part of the charm) but there is a touch of class throughout - e.g. white table cloths, real crystal wine glasses, antique furniture. The staff is well trained and eager to please. ...
โIt was very very good. Excellent services, clean and comfortable room and delicious breakfast.. City Centre Mall was located just 5 min walking distance. But tourist spots (Victoria memorial, B.B.D. Bagh) was far from hotel. Money exchange (dollar to rupee) was available at hotel front desk. Free Wifi was provided 3 days (72 hours) for our 4 Nights 5 days trip.โ
โAll staff was extremely helpful and friendly. My stay was pleasant. Only problem, bathroom was not kept clean. Itโs not up to the promise standard. โ
โMy room was clean and comfortable, the mattress and pillow were soft and plush and the bathroom was clean, well lit, and had modern hardware in great condition. So many hotel bathrooms I stay at in India are pathetic but not the case here. Also I had to check out at 3am and the staff helped me order a taxi to the airport (just a 5 min drive away at 3am) and carried my bag to the curb and talked to the driver for me since I only speak English. Would gladly stay again. โ
