Right next to the A1, but you wouldn't know it. Welcoming, lovely staff, good food. Lots of walkers and cyclists, good atmosphere, comfortable room, sensibly priced and conveniently located in this special part of the world. Go to Lindisfarne, go to Scotland, explore Berwick and Northumberland - this is the place to do it from!

Was surprised it was a motel-style setting with windows overlooking the car-park. Quite a bit less picturesque compared to all other places we stayed on St Cuthbert’s Way. Food at dinner was good but a bit pricey compared to other inns and there was no table-service.

2 night stay , parking was perfect , the room was a very generous double … huge bed , and in like a motel type set up . So despite being on a road was not noisy . Yes, was meant to be a double room though, was instead 2 single beds pushed together. Breakfast was good but a little small in portion size, but was still good. Staff were very welcoming and the young girl on the bar was very nice 😉

From the min we arrived staff were helpful & polite, our room was spotless, bed was amazingly comfortable (best sleep i.v had in a while), room temp was lovely & warm & easily adjusted, food was delicious & good value.
