"Initially we found the Evergreen Inn by accident and loved it. We stay there every visit to the Antigonish area. It's quaint, cozy, very clean, well equipped, comfortable bed, room front parking and close to the center of town. There's lots of space in the room and they well-supplied bathroom. Even fly-swatters and shoe horns are neatly hung by the entrance door. Couldn't ask for more and at a great price. "

"Some outlets in the room didn’t work. Not much sound isolation, could hear the Neighbors TV all night. Power went out for a couple of hours in the morning, when it came back on, the heater didn’t work anymore for the remainder of our stay. We called the front desk to tell them and they seemed disinterested in helping, which no one did. Breakfast was fine but weird how they used grocery store dinner wedges as home fries and the cheapest, thinnest, cold bread imaginable. They don’t even have a menu for their restaurant available in the rooms, or a menu we could take back to the room at the restaurant itself. We normally stay at Microtel when in Antigonish, but decided to give Maritime Inn a try this time. Will definitely pay the extra to visit Microtel from now on."

"My room was clean and bright. It looked like it had been renovated recently. The lobby and other spaces were under construction. The temporary lobby and breakfast space were cramped. The noise level from construction machines was extremely loud when we were checking in. I was concerned for the staff and the damage to their hearing. Not good. Parking was spacious. Outside signage for the entrance door was not clear. "

"Place was dry, warm and clean it was just unfortunate that they ran out of heating oil and had no hot water. Highly impressed that they proactively refunded my entire stay without me asking for it. Definitely recommended."
