“Great hotel, lovely food, friendly staff and a comfy bed.”

“Couldn’t fault the room and staff at check in/behind the bar. Breakfast let the stay down, waiting nearly and hour for 4 easy breakfast (beans on toast, scrambled eggs and pancakes) and when it finally arrived it wasn’t very nice at all, we did wonder if the scrambled eggs had been dropped on the floor and scraped back on the plate- it looked so bad. Such a shame as the rooms were lovely, very clean and the pub is lovely. I would stay again but wouldn’t be rushing back to have breakfast here.”

“Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

“Breakfast and service was excellent but the room was severely lacking in storage. The wardrobe had a hanging rail too high for most women to reach and there was no other place to put other clothes, or flat surface for the usual items. Hopefully this will be addressed in an otherwise pleasant hotel”
