A beautiful place to stay in the Rockies. Comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpful staff made it a great home base while we were staying in Blue River.
Beautiful spot. Dog friendly and so was the patio of the restaurant so that was nice to enjoy dinner. The lodge right across the way has lake access. Nice warm lake to swim in and on the other side of the lake is public access with a sandy beach and nice dock to swim to. Quite little town. Room was clean and just what we needed after backpacking.
Access to Eleanor Lake across the street was nice. Check in staff was very helpful and informative. Location was good and restaurant onsite had a good menu. (but not available for breakfast)
I liked were we stayed but got a little mixed up where to check in. The lobby for check in was across the highway. I did not realize this, I was tired after driving for the day but was directed to the proper place by friendly helpful staff at the restaurant.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
I had stayed at the same property approximately 10 days ago. This time the motel unit showed more of its age. Still clean but inferior to the unit I had before.
I had a great dinner t the adjacent restaurant. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and spacious. I liked having a couch in the sitting room and a separate bedroom. No A/C but I opened the window and there was a good screen on the window to prevent bugs from coming in. Blue River is very beautiful surrounded by mountains. Very peaceful and quiet.
The restaurant was fine. Not a large selection of items, but adequate.
This motel is located in blue River British Columbia. It is in fact owned by a very nice helicopter skiing company that has a resort just across the highway. The room was clean. The check-in was excellent so many expectations. What was really good was in the middle of this little town. The restaurant is in this hotel and the food was good.
The accommodations were excellent nice quiet room the only thing missing was that there was no A/C so in extreme summer heat this may be an issue, this time it was not just opened the bedroom window. Blue river also has no established places to eat other than the Saddle Mountain Restaurant that has both limited hours and an average menu. But if you are looking for a nice relaxing spot on your journey I would recommend a stay here, you park right out front of your room and there is even a outside quasi patio to relax and enjoy an evening beverage as long as you bring your own, Room has a good supply of coffee and tea.
As the place transitions, Signage would be beneficial as the “office” looks more like a realtor’s outlet.
That to the side, a clean and comfortable place.
Room was spotless and although we arrived late, the staff were helpful!

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
My room was not ready on time.
The room was dirty - the couch cushions very obvious. The window sills full of bugs and the dust under the bed was gross. They definitely clean with an out of sight out of mind mentality. I have never had to push so hard to flush a toilet in my life.
The restaurant staff was wonderful and the food was good.
Overall a disappointing experience.
It is a beautiful area and the motel was clean. It needs some upgrading - the shower was not very good at all, no water pressure. The bed was okay but definitely worn out. A beautiful spot and with upgrades it would be an excellent place to stay.
Motel was quiet but the doors locks could be more protective.. as a single in remote area that was the only uneasy thing I could say… no front desk staff on duty and their other property across hiway closes at 8 so if there was an issue who is there to call? The rooms are older and maybe geared to men who snowmobiie in the area and the restauraunt attached was closed for season so convenience store was option.. maybe a late night pantry with frozen foods and snacks, necessities for late arrivals which are routine in Blue River would be worth a go! The rooms are tidy and clean, new flooring and super comfy beds in the suite I was in:). kitchenette well stocked but I could not find an iron. I would stay here again however I wonder if I was in one bedroom with kitchen and adjoining room was occupied how sound proof it would be. The front desk gal Emily I think her name was was super helpful when the 5 hiway into town was closed and we weren’t sure if it would open in this instance I was impressed with their flexibility and these things are also factors which bring customers back. If you have pets this is a perfect spot as no carpet and clean floors easy access to outside walking areas:)
What a wonderful highway hotel. Many places aren’t as nice as they used to be and need an update. This place is humble and just perfect for what we needed for a stop halfway to Vancouver. The check-in staff was lovely, the room is quiet and the toiletries were well stocked. The restaurant on site had great staff and good food. Really impressed and will stop again. We were there at the end of August, so I can’t speak about what it is like in the winter.
