Very spartan hotel room, a couple of towels and a couple of paper cups, but the room was clean, breakfast was quite good, and despite being right by the railroad tracks, the room was quiet enough overnight. Anyway, it's a basic, but clean, hotel, and worked fine for me in Bochum for a week of meetings and not spending much time in the room.

The property was conveniently located to the bus/train station. Within walking distance to many restaurants/bars and shopping. It was very noisy as there were groups of people getting off the busses ad 3am/4am yelling/chanting and waking us up.

Lage IM Hauptbahnhof super. Lärm von den Gleisen oder dem Busbahnhof war nicht zu hören. Hotel wurde kürzlich von B&B übernommen, war früher ein IBIS. Das Zimmer hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen, war sehr abgenutzt. Dazu roch es sehr unangenehm, vor allem im Bad. Für den Preis (38 EUR im EZ) aber unterm Strich ok, mehr als 2 Sterne aber nicht drin.

Bahnhofsnähe optimal, Bett überraschend gut, Straßenlautstärke nicht so schlimm, wie befürchtet. Zimmer größer als erwartet. Aber: Zimmer kalt, 2. Decke oder Wolldecke nicht erhältlich ("Das erlaubt mein Arbeitgeber nicht"). Gut, in Ordnung, dann eben höhere Raumtemperatur ("Wegen einem Raum werd ich nicht das ganze Haus aufheizen!"). Dass man Raumtemperatur selbst regeln kann, erzählte dieser Ausbund an Höflichkeit nicht. Bin dann selbst draufgekommen. Selbstredend wusste diese feine Lady auch nicht, wie die Busstation heißt, wenn man zum Starlight Express möchte. Am nächsten Tag konnte ich mein Zimmer nicht betreten, mir wurde geöffnet mit dem Kommentar "Die Technik ist hier immer wieder ein Problem". Zimmer zweckmäßig, aber keinerlei Persönlichkeit. Keine Box mit Papiertüchern, kein Papierkorb im Zimmer. 1 Nacht später war ich in Wuppertal: Bahnhofsnähe, finanziell nicht teurer, Zimmer kleiner aber mit persönlicher Note, Papierkorb im Zimmer, weiterer Eimer im Bad, 1 kleine Flasche Wasser, Begrüßungssüßigkeit, Notizblock, Kugelschreiber, Box mit Papiertüchern und sogar kleiner Zimmerkühlschrank

Das Zimmer war für eine Nacht sehr gemütlich und die Ausstattung absolut ausreichend. Die direkte Lage am Hauptbahnhof empfand ich als sehr praktisch und mir war es auch nicht zu laut (war allerdings auch ein Sonntag). Die Einkaufsmeile mit diversen Restaurants ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Mit dem Bus ist man auch schnell in allen Teilen der Stadt.

Personal freundlich. Zimmer und bad sauber. Es ist überraschend ruhig trotz hbf Nähe. Parkplätze sind ausreichend in fußläufiger Entfernung vorhanden. Dennoch sind mir 2 Sachen negativ aufgestoßen: Der Fernseher hat keinen Tv Empfang und das Bad ist sehr klein und ohne Lüftung ausgestattet was dieses bei einer Dusche sehr schnell in ein Dampfbad verwandelt
