"A different stay to a standard hotel and this should be understood before booking that this is someone’s ancestral home as well as a hotel. Which means it has its own little quirks. However we really liked it and it was in a superb location. "

"I liked that the apt was clean, well located and easy to access. I didn’t like that my room faced some kind of business where people appeared to be working all night, moving heavy things on the street, and talking very loudly. The apt windows are not very soundproof and two nights in a row I had trouble sleeping. "

"Stayed 4 nights in this hotel. Rooms clean.
Hotel staff were lovely and friendly.
We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of nights and the food was great.
Easy walk into the old town or if needed taxi was just under £6 euro."

"The Jerez Hotel and Spa was fantastic.
We were greeted by the friendly, helpful manager and got allocated a refurbished room which had beautiful decor, two single beds and two double beds. It was perfect for a family. The room had everything, even a small fridge and for peace of mind - a safe. The accommodation was spotless and hard to fault. Free parking was a bonus. It was pobably one of the best 4* hotel rooms we've stayed in. Super comfortable beds too.
There's a good size restaurant, with a hot breakfast buffet for a very reasonable €14 per person. Unfortunately whilst there was a good range of food items, the scrambled egg was totally inedible as it had a ton of salt in it. None of my family could eat it. The hotel kitchen needs to adopt healthier cooking practices. Ditch the salt please!
Overall though, this is a very nice, well run hotel and we enjoyed our stay."
"A fabulous location for exploring Jerez and surrounding area.
Several bodegas, the cathedral, castle, market, as well as many excellent tapas and flamenco bars were all within walking distance for my 80 year old father. The appartment was also conveniently situated for the train station and a supermarket.
I slept comfortably on the sofa bed, whilst my father could have his own space in the separate bedroom. The kitchen facilities were very handy and included a coffee machine. We spent time each day playing cards at the dining table, and also enjoyed spending time on the roof terrace. Back indoors, the air-con was great, as was the shower, especially on a cold setting after a day in the heat. The only negative is that the 200 year old sewers could do with an upgrade. Our purchase of a plug-in diffuser helped in that regard.
Vivian couldn't have been a better host. She recommended places to visit, booked taxis for us and even placed a bottle of fino in the fridge as part of the 'more than essentials' welome package.

"The reception staff were excellent: courteous, friendly, and very helpful. They were the strong point of the hotel. The wifi very intermittent and unfortunately in our room the air conditioning was ineffective. When we left the lovely helpful lady at reception made me have fond thoughts about our stay. Perhaps it sounds strange but the human interaction is so important. We were both not there for one night."
