“The hotel has an impressive exterior and interesting period decor.
We upgraded to a superior double room, but it was disappointing: the heating didn’t work, and the TV signal was unreliable.
Parking was challenging, and one staff member at breakfast was rude. Upon returning from a day trip, we found our door left open, putting our belongings at risk, and our room had not been serviced or restocked despite reporting it.
A lovely building, but service and maintenance need improvement.”
