The building we were in felt a little austere, and the walls were quite thin, but the room was clean and the breakfast was really good and I liked the location. The staff was nice and parking was free and easy.

This is such a wonderful spot to stay! Especially if you are traveling between Hofn and Husavik. Its a bit out of the way but well worth the visit. The rooms are newly renovated and the hotel provides free towels, breakfast, and has coffee and/or tea available at all hours. The staff is extremely sweet and even gave us a room tour upon arrival. Highly recommend.

If you want an old school hotel and hospitality experience, look no further. The rooms are basic but quite large, and immaculately clean. The bathroom is a decent size as well with enough room in the shower and sink to comfortably bathe and wash. The hotel was very quiet, and the breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. The breakfast buffet included cooked eggs, bread, pastries, cereal, pancakes, etc. It was a great start to our day. I will definitely stay here again!

Great location for puffin viewing in nesting season! Very helpful, friendly staff. Personal service. Fresh, healthy food choices. Clean, comfortable rooms. Located in an interesting small community. We are grateful that the owners were able to help us out when our booking at another hotel fell through due to a booking error.

Álfheimar Hotel was a lovely 2 night stay for our small group. The town is small and cozy, we took a walk to the top of Alfborg and just love the ocean views.
