“Great bargain option! Gorgeous waterfall area on the property, good breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Very peaceful area. Stayed in the camping pod, very basic but had a comfortable bed. The mini fridge in my room only could fit maybe one can of soda and it didn't seem to work, and the shower was a communal shower and make sure you bring shower shoes it did not look like it was deep cleaned in a long time, but it if you consider you are essentially camping its really not a big deal. “If you want solitude this is your place to escape all the machinations of our world. Property owner provides a plethora of things for you to do. You can grill outside on the deck, watch the stars or aurora, read a book inside the cozy cabin, play a deck of cards, cook almost anything in the fully stocked kitchen or just cozy up on the sofa or loft. Our only concern is the long 7km drive on the gravel road to reach the property. Can be a bit bumpy if you’re only used to smooth tarmacs. ...

“The house was amazing, the check-in experience was awful. The house is loosely connected to the hotel which manages the check in, but the house is actually family run. The front desk agent was friendly, but had us sit for almost an hour without an update. The restaurant refused to book us stating we weren't part of the hotel, despite the fact that the front desk disagreed. The house made up for it.”

“Attention: The lock of the outer door is defective, never go out without a key! It locks itself, the mechanism to change it is broken. With other doors of this type, you have to actively lock it. After half an hour and several phone calls, help finally arrived. Please have it repaired. It was also disappointing that the house does not have its own jacuzzi. Here the pictures are definitely deceiving! The hot tub is located at the community house "in the immediate vicinity", which is over 1 km...

We stayed in November and I was worried it would be freezing but it was actually very warm and toasty inside the bus, the shared bathroom was a few steps away, and the bed was super comfortable. We brought food to eat in and played cards that we brought on the dining room table. Gorgeous view to wake up to. Only thing to note is that you HAVE to call the owner upon arrival - there is no check in desk, so plan for that with your phone and any international...

“the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company....
