โThe location is fantastic! You are right in the heart of downtown Seattle. Extremely walkable. The monorail is right in front of the property as well. Pike Place is a 10 minute walk in one direction and the Space Needle is a 10 minute walk in the other direction. Starbucks is a couple of blocks away. Parking is free on the property. The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly and informative. I would definitely stay here again!โ
โThe Anderson School is a great location. Beautiful garden area to just sit, enjoy a beverage or meal. The pool is very nice too. Love the tiki bar!! Always enjoy our stays at the McMenamins locations. โ
โStaff pleasant and let us into our room early
I had a pleasant hot bath, which felt great
The mini-fridge is magicchef and has a separate freezer section that freezes water overnight
Nice simple night stand, several shelves to itโ
โGreat location! Walkable distance from the Pike place. I loved green setup of the rooms. Staffs accompdated my needs to check in early. There is a late check out fee and you can leave your back at the lobby for later. Only that it was really noisy at nights sometimes with surroundings. I donโt know where it came from but I suspect it was some construction soundsโฆand occassionally some passer-byโs shoutings disrupted my sleep at midnight. Although I lost my card due to my carelessness, overall a...
โpros:
- If coming from the airport, taking the link train and getting off at Symphony station is very close to the hotel.
- Located in downtown, so itโs convenient for both going to the convention center and sightseeing.
- Relatively affordable price.
cons:
- The slope on Seneca Street is quite steep. It was really tough pulling a suitcase from Symphony hall station to the hotel.
- If booking through a third party (e.g., Hotels.com), they hold a $200 INCIDENTAL charge. This is a policy,...
โIntimate small hotel. Convenient, 3 blocks from our cruise ship port. Loads of dining options nearby, but we opted to sit on the patio of the funky Cyclops bar, directly below the hotel. Surprisingly exceptional eats!โ

- The Wi-Fi speed in the room was surprisingly slow. It was noticeably slower compared to other places like cafes or the convention center.
- The staff was unfriendly, especially the woman at the front desk in the afternoon. I asked if I could change rooms because the Wi-Fi speed was too slow for my work, and her response was, "Moving to a higher floor wonโt make the Wi-Fi faster." When did I ask to move to a higher floor? I donโt understand her attitude. To add, they didnโt change my room.
- In terms of room assignments, I noticed that the hotel tends to assign people of color to lower floors when using the elevator.
