"The staff is excellent, super responsive and willing to go the extra mile. However, we ended up in a room where another guest had been for months, and that guest allowed their pet to urinate in the room repeatedly. When you first walk in, you couldn't smell it, however, once we sat down and put our feet on the carpet (in socks) the smell became very apparent, and unmistakable. The hotel sent houskeeping right away to spray the carpet as best they could. We had set up a whole thing for crafting all weekend, so we did not want to move rooms, so that's on us. But there is no way the smell could have been missed and I wouldn't be surprised if they have to replace the carpet in the room fully. It's sad because good pet owners get a bad name because of owners like this.
The hotel is awesome. The staff, especially Colleen in housekeeping, is stellar. The front desk did all they could. The breakfast is great. Everything about this property is great, but the room fell way below what we have become accustomed to staying in this hotel a dozen times. Kudos to the staff doing what they could but the room should be closed until it can be completely cleaned."
