โWe chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK.
Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday).
Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem.
Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

โLas instalaciones, el entorno y el personal son excelentes. Un sitio muy tranquilo para desconectar, bien comunicado y muy cerca de Potes.
En mi caso me aloje en un apartamento con unas vistas a la montaรฑa increibles y con todo lo necesario para pasar unos dias en el Valle de Liebana. Sin duda un lugar para volver. โ
โWow! The view from here is breathtaking! I originally planned to stay two nights, but ended up staying 5. I would suggest planning to spend some time here!
You can see the Picos de Europa from your room and there are many places to sit / eat outside. Fuente De is close by and the hosts provided many resources for nearby hikes. โEn general la casa Roja de Canduela estรก bien, tener en cuenta que por el tipo de edificaciรณn y por las paredes de piedra la limpieza no es buena, pero es lo esperado. Se echa de menos algo mรกs de iluminaciรณn en la casa, y un poco mรกs de potencia en la calefacciรณn. El entorno es precioso, existen muchas zonas interesantes en lo alrededores para visitar, y si buscas tranquilidad la vas a encontrar.โ
