"The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The furniture and carpet are old but they seem to be working on making improvements. Great price. The bed was comfortable."

"Nightmare transfer from the airport. Followed the instructions to call for the shuttle and it would turn up. Well it turns up with a different name on the white bus, people squish themselves into the 8 seats. Worked out this the was the bus to be told, tough wait for it to do a loop. Not impressed considering I’d called ahead and told it was on its way for me. Call the hotel to find out the still have at least 28 people they are aware of to shuttle. So, wait for it to do its loop 15-20 mins later - it pulls up in a totally different spot and again people start to pile on the bus. Quick jog across the car park and myself and one other that had missed out the first time get on the bus. It drives to the ‘hotel’. Doesn’t look like the photos. Told to wait, the bus driver deals with everyone else that’s on the bus - think they were people picking up cars. Then they ‘check me in’ oh no key ready! It’s 2am in the morning, hotel chap returns to the desk - oh still no key! Makes me a key then says he’s too busy to show me the room- it’s a couple of hundred meters down the road left right left right blah blah. So off I go single female 2am in the morning. Find the hotel and met with a serious waft of cannabis - delightful! The room it’s self was what I’d expect and fine. The rest though disorganised chaos."

"This hotel was further from Cochem than we hoped for. I booked two rooms for one night at least four months in advance requesting large windows that open. We got one room with a very tiny window only, and one room with a medium size window. The staff was very nice and apologized for not meeting my request saying "they didn't know how this happened". The hotel was full that weekend. At least the windows opened. Also, our room had a terrible smell. Apparently, the drain pipe in the middle of the bathroom floor was the culprit. The lady at the desk poured some cleaner down the drain with a few buckets of water. We then covered the drain with a towel and went to the store to get a car scent hanger to place on top. We went to the restaurant for dinner and waited an hour and a half for our meal. They were very busy that night and apparently not prepared for the weekend (May Day). The meal was nice in spite of the wait. The most positive aspect of our experience was the woman at the desk who tried her best to fix things for us. "

"This is a wonderful hotel set on a hill next to the vineyards … family run, their attention to detail shone everywhere. Check-in was pleasant and efficient. Our room was large and clean, as was the up-to-date bathroom attached. We had a small balcony off our room that was perfect to sit with a cold drink after arrival (though there are plenty of additional welcoming spots both inside and outside the hotel). We have enjoyed a fabulous dinner that evening in their on-site restaurant- the stuffed zucchini was one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had and the white asparagus was amazing. Breakfast was also quite good and the staff did an excellent job keeping everything filled and tables cleaned. Highly recommend!"

Step outside to gentle walking paths and open sky that invite you to slow down and reconnect with nature. A simple, beautiful escape. Deutsch Das Berghotel Kristall wirkt vom ersten Moment an beruhigend, eingebettet in eine ruhige Landschaft mit weitem Blick. Die Einrichtung ist warm und durchdacht, mit sanftem Licht, gemütlichen Sitzbereichen und einladenden Rückzugsorten. Große Fenster lassen viel Tageslicht herein und verstärken die entspannte Atmosphäre. Die Mahlzeiten sind einfach und gut, im Bistro-Stil serviert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist hervorragend und bietet eine große Auswahl an frischen Speisen. Besonders angenehm ist die 24-Stunden-Vertrauensstation mit Snacks, Getränken und kostenlosem Wasser. Draußen laden ruhige Wege und die Natur dazu ein, langsamer zu werden. Eine einfache, schöne Auszeit."
