The taxi driver taking us from the airport said to us “your hotel is in the best location, but it’s not the best hotel. A lovely building but it’s not cared for”. This is a very good summary! The decor is shabby in the common areas. There is a down at heel bar which no-one goes in. The bedroom we had was clean but really poor quality. A view only of some air conditioning units and piles of something that looked unpleasant. A worn out headboard on the bed. Aircon didn’t work, and if you opened the window to let air in, it was too noisy from the aircon other rooms were enjoying what irony!). The safe was lockable, but it wasn’t attached to anything, so could just be picked up. The shower was poor. Out of 3 mornings, breakfast was poor, then ok, then good. This coincided with how busy it was, as the buffet was not re-stocked if things ran out. The serving staff and room cleaners were lovely, but the reception staff were brusque and never even asked us if we enjoyed our stay, and the reception desk was often unmanned. This hotel could be absolutely wonderful, I believe it has been previously, but the current owners seem to have let it run down and spent as little as possible on it.

Location close to everything. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from and good quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Great size room. Clean. Would recommend staying here.

Buen hotel clásico, luminoso y bien situado junto al lungomare. Habitación grande con vistas al mar aunque deberían cambiar la moqueta (se nota que era un clásico con clientela inglesa). Buen desayuno en un comedor espacioso y luminoso. Personal agradable y eficiente.

The strength of any hotel is the staff , all were exceptional ! Front desk to the maid ! Friendly , knowledgable, multi lingu Manc masters of multi tasking enjoyed a very comfortable stay after a long and stressful journey . Breakfast was exceptional great quality and big selection , great value too. Lovely historic hotel with outstanding views of the harbour.

L'hôtel est beau et situé face au port, des efforts sont fait pour le mettre au goût du jour. Mais le plus gênant est le manque de service disponible, le bar est présent mais fermé il n'est pas possible de prendre un verre ou un café en dehors du petit déjeuner. Il n'y a pas de café ou de bouilloire dans les chambres. La chambre donnait sur le port ce qui est très agréable et on n'entendais pas le bruit extérieur. Attention aux jours de pluie car il n'y a pas grand chose à faire en dehors de l'hôtel. Le personnel est par contre très agréable et prévenant.

This is a gracious hotel built in the late 1800s. It is being kept neat, clean but perhaps not as totally polished as it once was. It is begging for the beautiful bar area to be re-opened; what an opportunity for style an comfort. The lack of a dinner restaurant (there are hundreds nearby) is partially made up for the nicest, most gracious, complete breakfast we had in Italy -- and the enjoyment of this was augmented considerably by the kind gentleman who provided coffee to your liking. The breakfast was worth the cost of the room which was vast and looked directly over the harbor.

Grange albergo storico del 1869 che ospitò il Re d'Italia dopo l'8 Settembre. Stanza molto ampia anche se con esposizione infelice sul fondo di un caveglio. Il personale è molto professionale e allo stesso tempo gentile e disponibile.

The hotel has olde world charm. The rooms were very large with high ceilings, beautiful casement windows and big bathrooms. The staff was very warm and professional. They also helped me get a taxi at 4:30 am to get to an early flight at Brindisi Airport. The area is so beautiful and quiet with many good restaurants just steps away. I wish I had been able to stay longer but I enjoyed my day there very much and I’ll definitely be back!

Great Location and this hotel was definitely Grand in its day. Needs some TLC. It’s tired and a bit battered. Lovely staff and good breakfast made up for that.

Leider weder die im Internet angepriesene Bar noch Restaurant vorhanden. Wie man erfährt seit 2019 geschlossen. Kein Hotel mehr nur noch B&B und somit zu teuer. Parkplatz gibt es such nur 3! und diese müssen speziell und schriftlich beamtragt werden.

Enorm vriendelijk stel, willen hun gasten echt een fijne tijd bezorgen. De kamer waar wij in zaten was mooi, schoon en luxe. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en erg goed. Zeer gastvrij; Antonio heeft ons zelfs van het station in Monopoli opgehaald en weer terug gebracht. Daarnaast konden wij gratis gebruik maken van fietsen. Enorme aanrader voor uw verblijf in Monopoli!

Grand old hotel. Amazing staff- super friendly and helpful. Friday / Saturday night on the boardwalk are wonderful If you’re lucky you can snag a parking spot right out the front of the hotel :)
