“Only 30 min from the airport, up in the coffee covered hills above the very vibrant Alajuela neighborhood, is the best, not too expensive hotel in San Jose. Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds and gardens, nice food and a very relaxing setting. We really enjoy spending our last night, after puddle jumping and before getting on that big old jet liner, just decompressing in affordable luxury. Go there, you'll be glad you did.”

“Our stay at Villa Margarita was beyond fantastic. Rooms were clean, staff was very accommodating, grounds were beautiful. Margarita went out of her way to make sure that you always felt at home and had whatever you needed. Very relaxing stay. Just what we wanted.”

“The property grounds are very well landscaped. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area needs to be better maintained as the decking needs to be replaced before it collapses when someone walks on it. The rooms need updating. Once the new owners take possession, maybe hey will make the necessary improvements. We would love to return once upgrades have been completed. ”
