"Great hotel such a good find . Lovely staff girls serving breakfast and a young and older guy who seemed to be working most days at reception. Me and my husband stayed for 1wk ,could have easily stayed longer so relaxing . we had a lovely big room , comfy bed clean room Very quiet, we slept so well . Well stocked with tea/coffee etc . Nice bathroom with walk in shower and bath . Plenty of parking . Great location . Short walk to the seafront and beautiful park. Very dog friendly which is lovely to see. 5 min walk to restaurants and takeaways . We parked our car and didn’t use it all wk , we either went by train , bus or boat ! We will definitely go back to Abbey Sands ."

"The hotel has beautiful interiors and fabulous views. We had a room with a balcony and seaview which was large and comfortable with a large bathroom. The breakfast was very good with excellent variety and the best vegetarian selection I've come across. Served in a restaurant overlooking the sea, we felt like we were on a cruise ship. Sadly the afternoon evening service in the bar area was very poor; we waited over an hour for food. The outdoor pool is no longer used so needs to be replaced or removed. Once beautiful gardens need bringing back to life. The indoor pool and spa also need refreshing. This beautiful hotel could be so much better if more was made of the restaurant and bar, bringing in more income for renovations."
