Good life residence was very nice. The room was very clean, the staff and owner were extremely nice. They served free breakfast of eggs bread and local fruit which was delicious. The bed was comfortable, the area was quiet.

L'endroit où nous mangeons sur certaines fênetres il n'ya pas des vitres donc le soir on est envahi par les moustiques, dans la cuisine le frigo est trés vieux et n'est pas trés propre, le problème de coupure de courant ne rassure pas la fraîcheur de la nourriture que l'on met au frigo. Il existe des problèmes d'eau chaude en permenance, le soir je prénais ma douche avec un petit filet d'eau chaude celà n'est pas très agréable parce que il n'ya pas assez de pression suffisante pour se laver. Il y'a aussi des énormes cafards dans les chambres et parfois dans la cuisine aussi. Sinon l'endroit est beau et calme avec une vue époustouflante sur Bujumbura ainsi que sur le lac que l'on voit de loin. Le jardin autour est magnifique. Le personnel est gentil et trés serviable.

Beautiful place away from craziness of Bujumbura

The place is nice, very charming with great view and tranquility to relax. People are very pleasant who work there. I enjoyed my two days there even though I did not go out as it’s not safe for foreigners to walk around alone unless they have local person with them. Burundi it’s relatively not safe place to be. Rwanda is way much better. But this place located in very secluded and quite area that allows you to relax and enjoy your time. Only problems here is they don’t accept credit card which makes it really hard as any hotel should have point of sale terminals to perform transactions but they refused to have one and only want cash. Other negative aspect is water. Either you have water or not and that is a challenge. WiFi is very good. Breakfast is nice and fulfilling. Prices for food here are less then at Hotel Du Lac. They do not have airport shuttle or transfer for free. They use taxi cab that you have to pay for it.

A little piece of South of France, in Burundi.

Set up a hill of the city, with a terrace overlooking Bujumbura and the Lake below. A quiet and peaceful setting, but just few minute drive into Bujumbura centre ville. The hotel is designed beautifully - a french style villa in Buju. Owner and staff make time to give advice and make the stay smooth and stress-free, including making calls for reliable taxi drivers and trips further afield. A simple continental breakfast served each morning - with fresh bread and coffee. Just the right start to the day! Rooms spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Terrace overlooks Lake and city below. Comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy the setting.
