The room smelt really bad. The power point in the bathroom didn’t work. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim. Not bright enough. The mirror was dirty. But at least the sheets were clean and clean towels With Covid these days the room was not clean enough. Very disappointing
We booked this hotel because it has a bar and resturant attached. When we got there they were we were disapointed to learn that both were closed for 2 days so we opted to stay else where. The manager lee was very nice and agreed to give us a full refund through hotels.com. The room had a view, a mini fridge and was spacious.

Very basic accomodation. Old facility requires renovation
Nothing,Staff didnt care, got shown to an inferior room to the one i booked, had to say "this is not the room i booked",but finally got right room, dont serve breakfast, just not a nice experience, will not recommend.
When I arrived to check in everything was closed, even though I arrived before check in finished. There was only one powerpoint in the room, so I had to make choices about what to plug in...did I want to see in the dark, or stay warm. Won't be staying here again...needless to say.
People and the service are very good good rooms the food is nice close to town thank you

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Thoughtful manager, dinner at night quite pleasing. This is a working persons hotel in my opinion, the rooms were clean and tidy, old fashioned, but fellow travellers were of a similar age to us looking for clean tidy room.On the downside, there were quite a few stairs.
I liked the hotel because I was working down the west coast of Tasmania and I wouldn't get to the hotel to after hours and and I let the hotel know and the gentleman was there let me in thank you the rooms are comfortable clean I've stayed here a number off times I like it
It was all excellent for the type of property it is. It's an old hotel, which makes it cheaper and pleasant. Helpful friendly staff, all you need in an old-fashioned room. View over the port. Great value for money.

Needs some attention
Restaurant and bar were great, friendly service good meal, clean and tidy. The rooms really let this place down, bed was tidy and clean, floors were very dusty around edges and room was dusty overall, strong odour in hallway.
The beds were comfortable, but the whole building had a revolting smell of stale smoke. It only had one window that would open but we couldn’t keep that open all. Night as there were no fly screens. The smell was putrid, old and disgusting. We didn’t expect anything great, as it wasn’t an expensive room, but these rooms should not be booked out with this smell lingering. It made the stay very unpleasant. Luckily we only used the room to sleep as we were there to spend time with a very sick relative. I wouldn’t have wanted to relax there.
Service was friendly across the board. Bed was comfortable and facilities adequate. More attention should be given to ensuring bed lights etc work in the rooms
