"
The staff was welcoming and helpful when questioned, the lobby space and sitting area were kept clean, and the water station was always kept filled with mint and lemons.
well done"

"Friendly staff and clean room. We booked a room as we had an early flight next morning. It's 5 min walk from the terminal. We'll definitely return."

Motel One Edinburgh - Royal
6/10 Okay
"I didnt use the bar or breakfast facilities. My only issue was the fact the rooms are so spread out. The first room offered you had to use two different lifts to change floors to access it and walk through a rabbit warren of corridors. I have a sore knee so found the distance too far. I was moved to a closer room but this was still quite far away but did only need 1 lift to access it. When I asked why there is nothing on the website or when booking to explain as to why you need to access a different building I was told the room is only allocated the day before so it may not have been so. Still time to warn customers as I would not have stayed if I had known this."

Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is in good location 100 meters from train station and very central to Edinburgh
Although the hotel is undergoing maintenance at the time of writing this, it seems to be not too distracting.
We had an evening meal which was fine, but the choice limited, they claimed due to being out of season
Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice for all types of tastes including cook to order omelettes, which could probably do with another station as the only one working was popular
Room and bathroom was fine, we were on 6th floor, but did not hear any noises during the night, so had a good sleep
All in all I would happily recommend this hotel "

Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay with easy city access! We had a wonderful stay at the Dalmahoy Hotel. Our room was large, very clean, and the bathroom was excellent. The staff throughout the hotel were pleasant and incredibly helpful.Getting there: If you aren’t taking a taxi, public transport from Edinburgh is easy. We caught the X27/X28 bus from Princes Street; it costs £2.40 and takes about 35 minutes. The bus stops at the end of the hotel drive—just be aware that it is a beautiful but very long walk up to the hotel, which can be a bit of a workout if you have a large suitcase!Dining: Breakfast offered plenty of choice. We also ate at the Brasserie restaurant twice; the food was faultless and really nice, though a slightly more varied menu for a second night would have been great. We also walked to the nearby village of Ratho and found a lovely pub called The Bridge Inn on the canal—highly recommended if you're looking for a nice meal.Facilities: We made good use of the swimming pool and the pitch-and-putt golf course, both of which were great fun.We would definitely stay here again when we return to Edinburgh. Thank you, Dalmahoy Hotel!"
