WOW!! This rental was amazing. We do weekly rentals a lot and this was probably the best we have ever stayed in. It was a full size apartment, a full living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It was large enough that a couple could easily live there full time. Everything was clean and well decorated. The host even left us a welcome note and a bottle of wine. Staff and locals very friendly to outsiders. We loved being at the house with the locals and there dogs. We were missing ours so much! Food delicious, and the sightseeing around and near village was gorgeous!!

We stayed at The Raeburn for one night on a recent trip to Edinburgh but wish we could have stayed a few more! The room was huge with lovely woodwork and a marble bathroom (the fixtures were top-notch with a huge tub, huge shower, double sink, and towel warmer). Our king-sized bed was very comfortable and there was also a large flat-screen TV. The elevator made it easy to get to our room and there was parking on-site. The staff was friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved this hotel. Location was fantastic for walking, staff were friendly, food and beer were great, and our room and shared spaces were fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK (and I've been staying at quite a few 5 star hotels). The staff was professional, friendly, and accomodating. They def pay attention to details and ensure we have the best experience. Even provided me some of the best local recs and I was quite impressed (and this is coming from a foodie like me)

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a great size with comfortable beds. Location is excellent: 5 min walk to the castle, and around a variety of shops and restaurants and a very safe area. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only “con” is parking for the hotel, which is about a 15 min walk away, so can be challenging if driving.

We’ll maintained, the pool and saunas were fantastic! Highly recommend as it’s walkable and very convenient to all locations downtown. Tge bar was also excellent!!

Close to the Edinburgh castle, and transportation to airport. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Elevator does not reach the 3rd floor, a wee annoying but not a problem for us.

Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. The staff was friendly, the bartender was a super hard worker and great at his job, and the rooms were clean. The hotel locks the gate at night so you have to use your key to get in, which is a nice feature for safety. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too noisy for you. This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood without the mobs of tourists. The building is beautiful and quite sprawling. I was on the 2nd floor and had incredible views of Dean village. On clear days you can see quite far beyond the city into the mountains and sea. I have too many positive things to say to list them all. This is honesty the best lodging experience of my life. Great room. Great food. Peacocks! The best service in the know universe. Sample discontinued rare Scotch in the whisky room. If you find yourself in Edinburgh, stay at Prestonfield House. You won't regret it.

This is a great hotel for location and comfort. I don't sleep well in hotels but these beds and pillows were fantastic! Multiple options to choose from. I slept great. Dozens of great eating options within 3 blocks of hotel. Needed a cab at 4:30 am for our getaway and they arranged it. Great breakfast every morning too!
