“Fabulously welcoming and accommodating staff. Brilliant, filling breakfasts every morning. Decent WiFi. Parking was a little way off, but only a two minute walk. ”

“Superior room was excellent, welcoming and well presented on arrival. The guests living room was a great place to spend a cosy evening in front of the wood burning stove. Breakfast was excellent, fresh produce and good choice, and the fresh eggs were memorable. The electric charge point was a bonus. ”

“Room smelled pungently of mildew. When I told the staff they said they’d have to do a better job of cleaning. We left several days ago and everything in my suitcase, including all my clothes, still have that mildew smell. Quiet setting. Large rooms but had no way to air out except for a tiny window 18x8 that partially opened. Luckily it was cool weather. Pub was cute and food including breakfast was good.”

“11pm late check in staff left a key in a safe which was great but when we got to the room the door was actually ajar which is worrying when the rooms are accessed from outside and the car park is a car charging area with random people turning up all night. On the face of it clean and modern but very quickly you ca see the neglect. Bathroom very mouldy, broken internal window pane with sharp glass uncovered. The room was a first floor room accessed from a walkway to all the first floor rooms and...

Great touches like fresh milk being available and pre-choosing options for a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Shower was lovely and powerful. Such a great stay, an example of how b&bs should be. Absolutely would stay again and will recommend.”
