"We had so much fun! The water park was amazing, the hotel pool was fun, and they had a DJ. We loved the breakfast, and the activity room. The whole stay was perfect for our family."

"The location was good. The listing says " family friendly, a frig and microwave in every room." Not the case at all. The front desk staff were rude. We asked if the maid comes daily, and they said "yes." After 3 days with no maid, they said that you need to put the sign on the door even though we had asked for clean towels and a room clean the day before. When we asked for clean towel, we were told that we could rent a towel."

"Our superior room with a balcony was wonderfully comfortable. The small fridges in these rooms is a game changer as the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant ( although it does offer a cold buffet for breakfast) so stocking up with snacks for lunch etc is important. Olhao is a charming working fishing port with some good restaurants. These range from tapas to local vernacular through to higher end gourmet offerings. The front desk staff are good at recommending in form restaurants. The rooftop pool & bar is a great feature of this hotel. It affords panoramic views of the town and the islands of Armona ( great beaches a 10 minute ferry ride away) & Cultara. This is our fourth visit so we like it!"

AP Cabanas Beach & Nature - Adults Friendly

"A resort hotel full of package holiday tourists. You get a bracelet to identify you as a guest, breakfast is the standard "large buffet fare", sun loungers at a premium at certain times of the day. The breakfast buffet near reception starts a little later but looked better, and less crowded. €29 for a buffet dinner, service at the al carte restaurant was dreadful, they basically forgot to ring in our order so it took ages. There’s live music until 11 PM on the weekends. The band was really good but our room was directly above the restaurant patio where they play and we weren’t told about this when we checked in. If that’s not your thing, ask to be in a different building. It’s a 10 minute walk to the solar boats that take 5 mins to get across an estuary, to then walk another 5 mins to get to a lovely beach with no amenities. We just needed somewhere to stay overnight while on a road trip. The "adult friendly", and "parking available" appealed but really it definitely wasn’t for us."
