The property is well mainteined. The room was clean with enough space considering it is located in an old Building. It has a little balony with 2 shairs and a table, looking at the interior od the Building. The Hotel have a little Common área with coffee and snacks. The only problem is that there is no advertising of any kind in the outside so you dont know where is it.

Het bed was slecht. Het bed heeft een kuil waardoor wij steeds naar midden viel. We hebben nachts het matras omgedraaid en een deken onder gelegd.

Vorsicht kein Hotel und niemand vor Ort
Erstmla muss man sagen dass die Marlin Rooms kein Hotel sind. Dazu kommt dass es weder das in der Beschreibubg erwöhnte Restaurant noch eine Lounge, geschweige denn eine REzeption gibt. Frühstück war in unserer Buchung inbegriffen aber es hab nur in plastik eingeschweisste Süsspeisen (?). Man wartet vor der Tür eines Wohnhauses bis jemand von "Marlin Rooms" kommt und einen hineinlässt. Leider ging die grosse Balkontüre in zwei unserer Zimmer direkt auf die Hauptstrasse und konnten nicht richtig verschlossen werden (Holz/alt). Ein Zimmer hatte die Fenster in den Innenhof was leider auch nicht besser war, denn hier ziehen alle Gerüche aus den Küchen der Hausbewohner durch. Insgesamt leider überhaupt nicht wie beworben und eine grosse Enttäuschung für den Preis (110EUR pro Zimmer/ Nacht)

Buon bed and breakfast di fronte alla stazione dei treni, vicinissimo al centro di Cagliari, situato al secondo piano di un elegante edificio Consigliato per la posizione strategica e la gentilezza dei gestori. La camera, ampia e pulita, è curata e dotata di tutti i comfort, compreso televisore, minifrigo e climatizzatore. Il bagno ha una doccia molto grande. Il letto è comodo e si riposa bene. Nell’area comune vi sono un frigorifero, il microonde, la macchina per il caffè e il bollitore elettrico. In stanza ogni giorno forniscono biscotti, snack, acqua e succhi di frutta.

Estuvimos una semana. La ubicación es buena en pleno centro de la ciudad. Ideal para caminar, autobuses y trenes. Las instalaciones son básicas pero todo muy cuidado. El desayuno es sencillo, un poco de bollería y pan que dejan en la habitación el día anterior debido al Covid, pero suficiente. Destacar la limpieza, amabilidad y excelente atención de todo el personal así como el cuidado en los detalles y servicios que facilitan la estación (ejemplo, sombrillas para la playa, botellas de agua, etc). La relación calidad / precio es muy buena y recomendable.

Very good service. Helped with the luggage all the way from the car. The staff asked us everyday about our stay and if they could do something for us. I recommend this place.

Very good for its position
Everything is ok for an effective stop in Cagliari, taking advantage of being close to the train station, and thus to the airport. The room was clean and well equipped. The bathroom was clean. Courtesy set was under average

Zentral aber ruhig gelegene kleine Pension mit sehr guter Ausstattung und freundlichem Personal. Der Eingangsbereich des Altbaus erweckt zunächst keinen ansprechenden Eindruck und im antiquierten Fahrstuhl fühlt man sich in die 50er Jahre zurück versetzt. Die Zimmer sind aber wie abgebildet sehr gut und ansprechend ausgestattet. Idealer Ausgangspunkt zur Stadtbesichtigung mit vielen Restaurants und Cafés in der näheren Umgebung. Bahnhof und Bushaltestellen sind gegenüber und auch der Yacht-/Fährhafen ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt.

Friendly & comfy - awesome budget-friendly option
Sergei went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. From our early check in to suggestions on restaurants, sights and the bus/train schedules. The unit is a classic downtown Cagliari flat with marble stairs and a beautiful wood paneled elevator. The building is a bit faded and aged, but a fantastic location for exploring the downtown area. Breakfast is standard continental with an espresso machine. There’s a balcony off the breakfast area facing the inner courtyard. Our large comfortable high-ceilinged room faced Via Roma but noise wasn’t a problem with the window closed. Small balcony off the room shared with the adjoining room. Good air conditioning. Easy walking distance from the port entrance (650 meters) or the train Station (literally across the street). Not a glamorous property but the place is comfortable, friendly and affordable.

Verkehrsgünstig gelegene Unterkunft am Hauptbahnho
Hotel liegt direkt am Hauptbahnhof. Man erreicht in 15 Minuten den Flughafen und erreicht fußläufig alles ziemlich gut. Haben nur eine Nacht gebucht, hat aber alles gut gepasst. Nettes Team, klasse Lage, vergleichsweise gutes Frühstück. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Convenient place close to the central station.
This was my second visit to Marlin Rooms. The proximity to the station and down town Cagliari makes it a good place to stay if you don't want to bring a car into town. The rooms and the (italian) breakfast are fine. Quite some noise from the street through.

All'arrivo nella struttura mi é stato proposto di andare in un'altra struttura dicendomi che non funzionava l'aria condizionata, ma nel momento in cui mi sono rifiutato ed ho detto che avrei annullato la prenotazione e trovato un'altra sistemazione allora la stanza si é resa come per magia disponibile. Non so se in futuro sceglierò ancora questa struttura

The balcony was dirty and full of debris. The room has a strange setup, formally has everything in place but the setup is strange with additional beds not in use and missing lights in some parts of the room. It was just not nice apart from the mentioned dirt.

Nach einem sehr schwierigen Check-in (nach knapp 2 Std. und etlichen Telefonaten, ist endlich eine sehr freundliche Dame aufgetaucht und hat uns in Empfang genommen) und einem kümmerlichen ersten Frühstück (ein eingeschweißtes Croissant für 2 Personen, Kaffeemaschine ohne Wasser und Kaffeebohnen und keiner vor Ort, der einem behilflich sein konnte.) war unser Aufenthalt ganz schön. Die Zimmer sind hell und freundlich, das Bett gut und die Lage zentral. Das Bad ist nach der Renovierung nicht richtig sauergemacht worden, deshalb ist jetzt ein Betonschleier auf dem Fußboden. Das wirkt sehr schmutzig, ist aber wohl mit einem schnellen Wisch nicht zu entfernen.

Wir haben eine Stunde vor der Via Roma 173 gewartet. Am Haus befindet sich eine Klingel von Marlin Rooms (ein notdürftig überklebtes Klingelschild). Wir klingelten erfolglos. Anruf auch.Nach ca. einer halben Stunde erhielten wir den Rückruf von einer Frau, die sagte, sie sei in 10 Minuten da. Sie kam dann auch und wir fuhren mit dem sehr antiken Fahrstuhl (sehenswert) in den 2. Stock. Dort hat Marlin Rooms 2 Zugänge. Wir wurden zu unserem Zimmer geführt, sauber und mit antikem Charme aber lieblos eingerichtet (Nachtischlampe funktionierte nicht), gleichzeitig ist es auch eine Abstellkammer für Beistellbetten etc. . Das Bad war o.k. aber entsprach nicht dem Standard, den man für 80,-€ pro Nacht erwarten kann. Wir erhielten ein umfangreiches Schlüsselbund. Schlüssel für den Eingang im 2. Stock, für das riesige Hausportal, für den Fahrstuhl und für die andere Einheit im 2- Stock, wo die Gäste sich ein Frühstück machen können. Es standen ein paar Cornflakes rum und angebrochene Wasserflaschen und es gab eine Kaffeeemaschine. Alles in allem war an diesem sog. Hotel nur die Lage gut, da es direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof liegt. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt ist das aber nicht empfehlenswert wegen des Straßenlärms. 80,-€ sind eine Unverschämtheit für null Service!! Die Profitgier der Betreiber ist offensichtlich.

Pleasant stay
Marlin Rooms is ideally situated for public transport and port entry to Cagliari. The rooms were clean, bright and spacious. Breakfast was decent and the woman who was on the morning shifts was always attentive, friendly and helpful. Overall, great value for money. That said, the area can be noisy and feel a little dodgy after dark.

Estupendamente bien comunicado. A un paso de trenes autobuses restaurantes y centro histórico. Limpieza impecable. No hay recepción pero te dan tu juego de llaves par poder entrar y salir cuando quieras.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene ai Marlin Rooms. La stanza era essenziale ma comoda e colorata, con un utilissimo spazio fuori (tavolino e due sedie), il letto era ottimo, l'aria condizionata molto apprezzata (specialmente con 34 gradi fuori!) La prima colazione fai-da-te era semplice ma ideale per chi ha bisogno di un buon caffè, un cornetto e un yogurt senza fronzoli, e la possibilità di prendere una bottiglietta di acqua fresca dal frigo a qualsiasi ora ci è sembrata azzeccatissima... Pulizia quotidiana e scrupulosa...Posizione comodissima - due minuti a piedi dalle stazioni dei treni, degli autobus locali (anche per la spiaggia di Poetto) e dei pullman regionali, e cinque minuti dai ristoranti del centro storico. Due suggerimenti. Uno. Per che arriva in aereo, non c'è bisogno di prendere un taxi. Un treno ti porta ai Marlin Rooms in cinque minuti per poco più di un euro (1.25). Due. Siccome non c'e nessun reception, ti conviene chiamare l'albergo prima di prendere il treno per evitare di dover aspettare fuori il palazzo...

Siamo arrivati e ci hanno dirottato ad un secondo hotel (hotel dedoni?) scoprendo che neanche qui c'era posto... Alla fine siamo stati accompagnati ad altro hotel (hotel italia) a 400 metri in una camera con finestre su vano scale interni... In tutto questo expedia inesistente... Da dimenticare

Cozy, clean and good located
Cozy, clean and perfectly situated near the bus/train station and close to most attractions in Cagliari. Staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast simple but good, wifi and aircon worked without complaints. Would definitely come here again.

b&b - not a hotel
It's just a b&b without reception. In general I dislike the fact that hotels.com advertise them without saying they are. When you arrive you don't know there's no one to open for you. Once I investigated in their own website i found where to get the key. At least then they were extremely nice and helpful
