#History Also known as the Cairo Necropolis is a very interesting place to explore. The juxtaposition of life and death makes it very unique. The city has many historic tombs from the Islamic-era. Tombs are structures often with a few rooms and even a garden. Many inhabitants of the city were caretakers that moved there with their families and others followed suit. It was really interesting to me to witness how people here carry on with their everyday lives.

They say if you stare closely down the well, you'll see the face of your lover staring back at you
