After taking a short, enjoyable ferry ride we made it onto Caladesi Island. Following the path we went to the beach where we enjoyed the sunshine and warm Gulf waters. The only downside to this park is that the wait to get on the ferry back. The system in place makes sense but there definitely are some issues with it -- you have a set time to return and if you want to return earlier you may not be able to which is hard if you have tired children or a rough sunburn!
