“Absolutely wonderful! We loved our host and appreciate his helpfulness and conversation!”

“Please don’t be put off by the external appearance as the rooms are beautiful, really comfy bed and spotless! The food is lovely, all fresh and well cooked. The staff are really friendly and helpful.”

“Conveniently located for sight-seeing in Wells, owners were very helpful and friendly, food was exceptionally good, enjoyed our stay and would recommend”

“Had a great stay, room 1 was fantastic. We enjoyed the comfortable bed and a sofa was a bonus. Great bath, one thing to note may be the addition of a shower curtain, we managed to soak the floor every time we used it. Water and orange juice was a nice touch and filtered coffee was tasty. We did feel the stairs were very deep and the additional of another hand rail may be something to consider. Lovely dark room and we slept so well. Breakfast was great, nice to see all local and home grown...

“clean and perfect location. Comfortable and the service was also nice. Highly recommend and will come back definitely.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at The George. It was authentic, absolutely clean as a whistle and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It is an authentic old inn so there were some creaky floors but it fine for us. The staff and the food were amazing. I would stay here again.”

“Great all round”

“Really great location for exploring the city. Within easy walking distance. Comfortable beds - we both slept really well despite the bedroom facing the street, there was no disturbances. Friendly welcome and helpful suggestions. Tasty breakfast served in the room with a good choice of options and timings. Would recommend and would return if needed to.”

“Room was clean and very Quiet! Considering it was a 10 minute walk to Bristol Airport. It was a bit difficult to contact the owner for instructions on how to get into the room. Price was great”

“Fantastic room, helpful staff and a tasty breakfast. Good location, with free parking. Would stay again!”
