It's a fantastic option when traveling to Milan from Torino or Switzerland (and really anywhere) in the north....and makes a stop when heading to Malpensa a real pleasure instead of a difficulty. “The hotel is in a lovely location on Lake Orta, within close proximity to Orta San Giulio. However, the hotel itself is looking rather shabby and is in need of a makeover.
The rooms are a good size, but the air conditioning is extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep with it switched on. Unfortunately, without the air conditioning, the rooms become uncomfortably hot.
The hotel was reasonably clean. Cooked breakfast was disappointing, particularly the scrambled eggs, which were terrible....
