I always stay at this hotel, and love the staff and facility. The only issue was that only one of the three treadmills were working in the fitness room.

I had a good experience. Room was clean and spacious. Could use an update soon but it was clean and the view was great. Not a lot of parking, and no one tells you that you must pay for parking at check-in, however I knew from reading reviews. They told me at check-out, that I had a parking and "eco" fee and asked if I wanted it added to my credit card. Based in my recent stay, I would recommend.

The staff at the Crown Cafe and Bar were incredibly efficient and friendly. I've never received my food so quickly. The food and staff at the Eave Restaurant and bar were also very good. Room was clean, but a bit dated with some obvious wear and tear starting to show, but overall a good experience. Pool and hottub area were also very well kept. Parking was a bit squishy. Very convenient to walk to Center 200 Arena & Casino - maybe 4-5 blocks.

Parking was a nightmare. A little attention to snow removal would have helped. When we arrived at the room, we noticed there were no towels in the bathroom. The maid service was in the hall and I asked her for some towels. She said they were still in the laundry and she would get some later. She left three towels for three people for two days. The light fixture in the bathroom was falling down and I fixed it myself. The toilet refused to flush, after a little look I discover there was no water in the tank. After I wiggle and tapped on the flush mechanism it started to fill again and we were able to flush. The coffee machine in the room was not plugged in, so I looked under the desk and discovered a small power bar with about 6 items plugged into it, was a wonder it did not set the place on fire. Door key cards had to be inserted into the readers 10 to 15 times to open doors Very frustrating. Was not impressed with the property at all.

The condition of the room was ok. A lot of bubbling old wallpaper. The bed was insanely comfortable tho! For that alone I would go back.

There was a terrible snowstorm during my stay. Nobody could get in or out of the hotel for hours as the storm was severe. My server from dinner the previous night, Michael, as well as the chef, stayed at the hotel overnight, to ensure that every guest had a hot breakfast the next morning. I thought that this type of forethought and service was incredible. There were others that helped me to get my car out of the parking lot later in the day, and they were exceptional as well. Joey, who worked the front desk, enlisted a couple of the maintenance staff to help me out. I stay at this hotel two nights per month, as I am a sales rep, and it is one of my favorite places to stay in the Maritimes. It is times such as this, that confirm to me, that the management and staff are the best in the business.

Issue with parking - there was no parking left on site. Had to chance it with street parking which is very dangerous due to the snow. They should have warned us before checking in. It wasted a lot of our time.

Very clean property. The pool was great for the kids. Wish there was a continential breakfast. We did avail of the cafe/restuarant and went with room service. The portions were small and some items we ordered were forgotten when our food arrived- when the server did come to bring those drinks/sides some were still forgotten but we didn't mention it as our meals were getting cold and the kids were almost finished.

Very dirty, elevator took forever, service took a very long time…food and front desk service. Bed was uncomfortable and the pullout couch was falling apart.

When we arrived there was no parking so my husband with MS had to walk up a big hill while I lugged our two children up. Get to the room and our keys didn’t work. The mini fridge stopped working in the middle of the night so I had to dump all our babies milk. They offered us a free breakfast for the inconvenience but we requested a refund and checked out instead. Horrible experience. Staff was kind and understanding though. Wouldn’t stay there again.

The main reasons why I always stay at the Sydney Holiday Inn is that the hotel is well maintained, they have two newly renovated restaurants that serve exceptional food, and the staff are incredible.
